I think it is worth mentioning. The only people who could feasibly run for that sort of position are incumbents who are likely to win or people who are independently wealthy enough that they can pay for things like health insurance completely out of pocket while not holding a 9-5 job.

Running any democrat in that district is the same as an uncontested race for him. The only way to get him out is for a decent republican to run and even then it will be a challenge.

At this point, I’d be happy if he got primaried by another Republican. Or my Hefty bag of last week’s garbage took his seat.
