I think there’s a difference between drinking your drink at a table or standing away from the bar, and screaming into a bartender’s face from two inches away. This is at least safer for the bartender. Since Omicron became a thing, I’ve been in bars/music venues (where I sometimes work), and basically keep my mask on

I made several batches of bacon vodka just about... wow, 8 years ago. So no one I knew was surprised when I said I wanted to try this Arbys vodka. But the bacon vodka was indeed... interesting. It did make for a really good bloody mary. I didn’t freeze it though, I put the bacon in and set it in a dark cupboard for

I test drove this and the GV80. I loved the GV70, but with me being 6ft tall and two kids who are only getting bigger, the GV70 is just a *bit* too small. I loved the car, but there’s just not enough cargo space for all our crap. We have a midsize SUV as our long haul roadtrip car, and the GV70 just wouldn’t cut it as

One early biographical tidbit that she mentions more than once that I need to hear A LOT MORE explanation on: She talks about how her love of wings coming from the fact that she... spent a lot of time in Hooters as a kid with her dad?

Raquel is definitely the most useless and is just eating or drinking most of the time. I like the strong one who always has to open jars. I thought Pawpaw was just always such a jerk, but seems to be just a tough but fair critic.

I’ve never really listened to any Selena Gomez music, or watched any of the shows she’d been in, but I could not get enough of her cooking show. It was, no joke, THE most riveting thing I watched during the first year of the pandemic. Seriously, watching her cut an avocado or chop just about anything was the most

Which trim are you driving? I’m curious how much of a difference the active noise cancellation really makes.

SF does have one of the highest vaccination rates in the country. And yes, a lot of what we do amounts to theater that in many instances doesn’t do much. But taken as a whole, you bet it does have a practical effect-it leads to people getting vaccinated, wearing masks, and stopping the spread of Covid. I’d rather err

My favorite nugget dipping sauce is probably Wendy’s honey mustard. But when I make them at home, my go-to lately is Sriracha mayo, which is pretty much perfect in terms of a little spice and flavor.

Agreed. A little al dente spaghetti with some truffle and butter is about as good as it gets for me as far as truffles go.

Coming from an Asian immigrant family and living in a suburban/rural area, we didn’t actually get a lot of food diversity, so my HS cafeteria was where I tried a lot of food items for the first time, bastardized versions as they were. But I definitely recall the first time I bit into a stromboli. I could barely

I was well into my 20s, I think, when I realized the shepherd’s pie I had in HS was not what one would call a traditional shepherd’s pie: One ice cream scoop of ground meat, topped with one ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes. Still, not bad!
But I’ve made up for the years of being lied to about shepherd’s pies by

I had to start a whole new Kinja account a couple years ago because I got booted to the greys for every site except the Takeout. Who knows what will offend Ye Olde Kinja Gods?

When I was 12, and had the metabolism of a 12-year old, my favorite thing in school was a spaghetti sandwich. The spaghetti in my school cafeteria was scooped out of a tray with an ice cream scooper and sat there in a little ball, it was so overcooked. But they also had that soft sliced italian bread, which I then

    SHREDDED SQUID.

As with almost all bacon science...”

I swear by cast iron pans, but the only exception for me is eggs. Especially omelettes. A nonstick pan just makes flipping omelettes or over-easy eggs so much easier. I got a couple Le Creuset non-stick pans, and I’ve been very satisfied. You can still put them in the oven up to 500 degrees, and can even (lightly) use

Do you really have to wait a few hours or a day after reballing the dough if there’s a hole? I just roll it all back up and flatten it out again right away. Never had any complaints. It never occurred to me to tell my kids/guest “sorry, pizza has to wait til tomorrow.”

What about Church’s? I recall that being pretty good as well.
Well, if you’re ever going up to NYC from Baltimore, take a quick detour off I-76 around Reading. I wouldn’t say it’s WORTH the stop, but if you’re stopping already... I would also recommend the Bo-Berry biscuit, a blue-berry filled, sugar topped buttermilk

About 45 min NW of Philly. I went to school in the south and never saw a Bojangles around where i was, so i weirdly always assumed it was a regional northern chain.
I think one of the reasons my dad loves when we visit is the fact that that’s the only time he’ll get to eat Bojangles.
