I kinda thought it was a given that Petey was the slippery dude. I really thought that when they were in the car they were going to the dump to find the wheel chair angela disposed of.

Not sure why, but I loved the scene in the car a couple eps back talking to angela where he’s eating nuts or whatever. For some reason he’s got a voice that is so entertaining when he’s eating something, or muffled by a full face mask.

I love Wes Anderson but generally don’t think of him as a great director of actors, more of a good storyteller. But the performances he got out of Paltrow and Ben Stiller in particular in Tenenbaums are easily my favorite performances of both those actors. And Paltrow never really looked better than she did in this...

I think Monica says “Looks like it’s a good DAY to fuck him,” not “good time.” Small difference but I think it makes the joke following the menstrual cycle bit land more. Also I think that might’ve been my favorite dialogue exchange on this show in the last two seasons.

God, I knew I recognized him from SOMEWHERE but was too lazy to look it up...

Can’t it be a poopy penis?

Isn’t he basically doing The Apprentice right now? You have all the sycophants, you have Ivanka dropping in from time to time, etc. And you have all sorts of dramatic twists. Like who would’ve ever imagined that Lindsay Graham would be winning the Apprentice?

I used to get anxiety because of all the people who didn’t know who he was and I felt bad for him. Now this gives me anxiety because of all the people who SHOULD know who he is, and it makes me feel bad for them.

I mean, if that WAS the plan for Leia... maybe they could’ve gone ahead and done it? If they can do a CGI Yoda jumping around with a light saber and everyone thought that was pretty cool at the time, why not just have a quick scene with Leia. At least you wouldn’t get caught in the uncanny valley of her CGI face like

I didn’t even want to cut the cord, but DirecTV were such total assholes, and even though I desperately tried to keep the service they basically made it impossible so I just canceled the whole thing, and it sucks. But it IS nice to not pay over $100 a month i guess. But all the different streaming services just kinda

Yeah, I do have the antenna. It’s just a pain in the ass to have to switch TV inputs, and use the actual tv remote. Plus, after living with DVR functionality for a decade in a half, it sucks when you can’t replay a play while watching games. Or pause. It’s the tradeoff of not paying $100 a month for a cable package,

I have been saying for months now “I just wish someone would bundle all these streaming services into one package and give me one box where I can watch all of them without changing inputs or passwords and just charge me one price for the whole thing.”

Since i first encountered the phrase “masturbating furiously” in a paper edition of the Onion over 20 years ago, I’m glad to see it finally make it into an AV Club headline after all these years. Full circle...

I told people I watched all three eps of the Morning Show and when they ask “Is it good?” all I can say is “Well... i watched all three eps in one night so... I don’t know?” I guess the smart thing Apple did was get a good cast, because I like all the actors involved, though this might be the last smug a-hole Billy

I get all the complaints about Uber and Lyft, but... how is getting a taxi from a taxi company any better than getting an Uber/Lyft. It’s still some random person you don’t know, only with less vehicle tracking/accountability/screening of the driver.

I think most of the money is going toward their efforts to put Lyft out of business first.

Speaking of the comic... Laurie was staying at the Black Freighter motel? So... the comic exist in the Watchmen universe and was notable enough to have a cheap midwestern motel named after it?

Jean Smart would’ve been a fantastic Slik Spectre I in the Watchmen movie instead of a needlessly aged Carla Gugino (who i love in about everything but totally wasted in that). I guess you needed Gugino for the flashbacks, but Smart definitely fit the bill for the older SS.

Totally agree. The weird vegetation (tomato trees?) and disposable clones were enough to think he was on another planet, but the failed space suit and vacuum-frozen clone all but confirmed he’s not on earth. The clone in the space suit had a rope around his waste. I’m assuming he was going horizontal instead of

I’m assuming Veidt is Manhattan’s prisoner on Mars. Who else could create the clones? And why is Veidt trying to make a space suit?
