EXACTLY. This HAS to drag on as long as possible, which is why I was never in the camp of “WTF is Pelosi doing.” I think it was pretty clear she was stalling as long as she could. Because as you point out, it WILL be forgotten about once the Senate votes.

How will this be different from them defending all the other obvious treachery/outright treason? If anything, they’ll ratchet up the rhetoric that this is all partisan politics even more. This year’s slate looks markedly better. Not many Jaguars-Jets games (an no hideous monochrome uniforms). Every week seems to have at least one team that would be interesting to watch, and many have matchups where both teams could actually be good.
