EXACTLY. This HAS to drag on as long as possible, which is why I was never in the camp of “WTF is Pelosi doing.” I think it was pretty clear she was stalling as long as she could. Because as you point out, it WILL be forgotten about once the Senate votes.

How will this be different from them defending all the other obvious treachery/outright treason? If anything, they’ll ratchet up the rhetoric that this is all partisan politics even more. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be impeached (eventually), but I don’t think this changes or effects the Republicans one lick.

That’s asking an awful lot of the Republican base. I would bet against it, unfortunately.

Also, Clinton’s impeachment, from official inquiry to senate vote, lasted... 4 months. I know the Dems move slow as shit on stuff, and there’s obviously a whole lot more than a simple perjury charge and an obstruction of justice charge, but I don’t see how they can drag this out for 13 months.

It can be both too late, and also too rushed. They missed their chance at the beginning of his term when it still wasn’t clear that every single Republican was going to fall in line with him. They should’ve just bogged him down from the start. So anything after that was too late. Now that he’s survived the Mueller

Ideally, yes, I hoped the impeachment would loom over the 2020 election. Because otherwise it’s wasting the last bullet the Dems have. And given that the Mueller Report, that shining beacon of hope, is barely mentioned because it was released WAAAY back in April, I’m just worried this will peter out way too soon. I

My one quibble with an otherwise nearly-perfect show is that they haven’t really made the stakes of eternal damnation high enough, have they? Mostly the Bad Place seems like an endless Wal-Mart line (filled with lava). But none of the really hardcore torment/torture you would expect from hell. I know it’s a network

Sorry... but this is too soon. it’ll be over and done with by January and totally forgotten by June. Until Trump starts bringing it up around the election that he’s been twice-vindicated by Mueller and the “very unfair” Congress.

Had me at Smulders, Jake Johnson a bonus. Kinda hope this is good enough to no go the Karen Sisco fate...

He was also The Captain on HIMYM, so double reason to show up...

If this show goes at least five seasons, I think it could pop up.  It took How I I Met Your Mother like 8 seasons to acknowledge Bob Saget’s Full House past. Though I guess only like three seasons for NPH to do a Doogie Houser computer diary entry...

What are the chances that Shiv goes right to the Kendall playbook and sides with Stewy and Sandy after being spurned as the successor?

Is this a tough beat for Josh Gad, or is Josh Gad doing what Bruce’s parents couldn’t and dodging a bullet here?

Jeffrey Wright will definitely ace the scene where he has to looked nonplussed as he turns around and finds he’s speaking to himself after Batman just vanishes off the roof.

Technically, I don’t think Alfred ever “fetches” sandwiches and stuff. He’s usually trying to get Batman to eat something and maybe take a nap or leaving a tray of food that goes untouched in the batcave. The only thing he usually fetches is an unconscious Batman who’s beaten and fallen off a roof or something, or

This year’s slate looks markedly better. Not many Jaguars-Jets games (an no hideous monochrome uniforms). Every week seems to have at least one team that would be interesting to watch, and many have matchups where both teams could actually be good.

Isn’t a big part of the problem that so many people are not unemployed, but underemployed? A lot of hourly workers are already working less than 40 hours to keep them from being full-time employees. Depending on whether the definition of “full time” changes to 32 hours or stays at 40, the change of the work week to 32

The truly sad thing for me is that my mom made this exact argument when I was debating what kind of car to get: buy the heavier car.

When you grow up are you going to marry a carrot?”
