Absolutely loved this movie for many reasons. The exploding lotus blew my mind, and then to have another burgundy Lotus appear later was excellent. The amazing house up in the mountains that could only be accessed by a basket elevator...the list is long.

I test drove the i8 and was surprised at how good the engine noise pumped through the speakers was. I still don’t like the concept, but was surprised how real it actually sounded.

I could see a printed out version of this visual coming in handy... when people on the plane look at you like you’re a nutbar, just hand them the printout and watch them instantly become a nutbar too. Then hand them a clorox wipe and you have a new friend.

Thanks Tom. I always wondered if it would be interesting to do a survey where people can select their car from a complete list and see what comes out. “Most popular car driven by Jalop’s” etc.

Tom, I am sure you’re right about the lack of comments from wealthy jalops. I’m wondering if you have a theory on why? I guess I fall into that category but still try to partake from time to time in positive discussions (avoid the troll chats like the plague). Is this a blogworthy topic?

So much this. Porsche moved away from air-cooled engines and everyone screamed bloody murder...while Porsche went on to sell more 911’s than ever before.

Agreed. Tested a ‘08 911 Turbo and was amazed (not in a good way) at how quiet it was.

I have to say it is definitely faster in the time I have used it this afternoon. Especially starting Youtube videos

This was an amazing read. I am a big James Bond fan and did not know about the Aston Martin theft. Someone, somewhere probably has this hidden behind a wall. Pretty cool even though he is a thief.

There are a handful of videos that actually scare me and this is one. Hats off to James Hillier. Absolutely epic.

I always thought this was a pretty good idea. Crash foam:

Yes agree with the nannies interfering. In pure driving (at limits but no nannies interfering) there is something very similar...but this is only my opinion. I also drive mine all year round, which I thoroughly enjoy (especially on snowy days)

My buddy and I have sat in the back of an ‘84. I’m 6.2 he’s 5’11.

Someone has to own it... let it be you my friend....let it be you

Not much room back there but 2 adults 2 kids for me without any issues. Sometimes my two 6 foot friends sit in the back for short trips. It’s not comfy, but they CAN sit in the back.

What an awesome pic. That car will always be legendary.

I agree it is a little nuts with the RS... but my guess is it is likely always to increase in value more than the non-RS version.

I agree about the pretentiousness and hate that too.

BUT THE ENGINE IS IN THE WRONG PLACE!!!
