Long time in production or no, cam gear slippage appears is a significant issue with the Fiat Diesel. Perhaps it became apparent when placed into “truck” duty or something else altogether, but this engine is failing in a major way. The alternative is to get the 2500 Cummins.

Don’t. Those engines are POS. Seriously, spend a few extra and get a 2500 Cummins.
