Any time I see things like this I think to myself, “how did no one think this was wrong?” How many people saw that before it went on the bus, and everyone thought “yeah this is fine.”

On the flip side. I would easily drop in another $10K for a car that will reliably crank out another 250K to 500K miles with zero powertrain maintenance. That’s pretty good deal for a daily driver/beater car. Heck, even a “bad” battery at half capacity would get most people to/from work with zero drama day-in day-out.
