Exactly. I think that there can be a ‘correct’ number of buttons somewhere between Tesla Model 3 and Buick Cascada.

Leave it to Jalopnik to cry out for buttons when their isnt any, and explode when theres too many... w/e
I was out of work suddenly, and took a job out of desperation for a few months. About 30 miles away, but commuting from the northwest side of Columbus to the southeast side - through the heart of the city, at the worst time to do so.
TDIs are great for long commutes. I put 30k/year on a MKIV Golf TDI for a few years, which sucked during the financial meltdown and fuel locally was $4.999/gal.
Weekly commute, England to Italy. 640 miles. On my own dime.
During the dot-com crash of the early 2000s, I was commuting from NYC to Kissimmee, Florida because the only job I could find was as a contractor for Disney. They flew me down every Monday, and home every Friday.
It’s sad that I’d rather have a Nissan from the 1990's than its equivalent model today.
Yes, they are naming them after radio stations now.
In my observation:
I sell these things, and it is unfortunately not surprising at all. All of our product is hopelessly outdated, the lease rates always somehow get beaten by competitors with nicer cars, and they severely fucked up the new QX50 by putting a CVT in it. The CVT highlights all the very worst aspects of the new VC-Turbo…
I think they really screwed up when they renamed their range, which messed up the name equity they had with their most popular vehicles.
Best thing for sale at a Nissan dealership right now is this hat.
I used to sell Infinitis for a short period of time and I completely understand why this is happening. Infiniti has 4 major issues:
I’ve always been under the impression a car that sits is worse than one that is driven.
This is the most Russian thing I’ve seen all week.
I bet the M5 gave many more smiles in those 400k miles than the Lexus did in its million though.
That is a pretty interesting way to look at it. A 400K M-car is far more of a unicorn than a million-mile Lexus.
Agreed. I just meant trying to pull off that many miles with a modern M would run into the 6 figure range of maintenance.
I mean, the E39 M5 still took a lot of work to keep on the road. That 400k M5 is an incredible outlier. It’s certainly far more impressive than the million mile Lexus.
I had forgotten there was a time when an M car could go this many miles.
