I have a severe aversion to aftermarket forced induction, but this is so clean and nice. Too much for even a cherry stock ’08, but I think this is a rare case where quality, well done mods actually add value. NP.
I would make the point if you put good tires on a boring car, it does help. I had a 2003 Corolla that I put on what was considered the best performance tire at the time, the Goodyear GS D3, totally transformed the car.
my mom’s had that exact prius in the picture for the last ~10 years
Lots of good cars out there under 25k. Even really nice ones these days (cough Mazda3, Mazda6, Civic, Elantra, etc...). People want SUVs, and they think they want big SUVs, and you can charge for those... so people do dumb things.
I have fallen in love with the Mazda 3 TCR Race Car
I posted this on TTAC, but it seems prudent here as well.
You're talking about the same Mazda that replaced my 13' dashboard no questions asked?
Mazda naming is a bit confusing.
Mazda has made the wrong bet. They are trying to be silly by pretending to offer a premium vehicle, with a corresponding premium price. The economy has probably already turned downward and we haven’t caught up to the point of admitting it. So, Mazda’s made a bad bet at a bad time. I’m really worried for them. I don’t…
One reason I bought my GTI over a new Mazda 3 hatch was that I want more than 10º visibility from the back half of the car.
The 2005-1010 Mazdas were extremely and unpleasantly loud cars with sometimes awkward styling. The 2014+ Mazdas are much more refined and much better styled.
Mazda’s dealers suck, too. I was shopping for a Mazda 3 years ago, and none of the dealers in my area even had one with the larger engine I wanted available for a test drive. And this wasn’t at the end of a model year, either. I ended up buying a loaded Ecoboost Fusion for less than that Mazda 3 would have been.
I can say their CX5 is way nicer to drive than the equivalent CRV or RAV4, but it pains me to try and sell a company on its crossovers.
Having said that, Mazdas are filling a pretty special niche at the moment but niches don’t keep companies afloat very long, particularly when your niche is driving engagement in the…
I have more faith in the Mazda 3 alone than I do for the entire 2020 Nissan lineup.
A reasonable take. I always let them out within reason, mainly because you usually can’t see until you’re halfway out of the spot and reliant on the kindness of strangers. Plus, that stranger may well need your spot anyway.
Depends on how far along you are. If there’s fully room for their vehicle without backing up my own vehicle, then sure. Otherwise it would be near impossible for them to always yield due to their own limited field of view.
“I’m pretty certain a human driver would have noticed the reverse lamps on”
People have started ignoring them now, thanks to GM using them to like puddle lights when ever they lock the car.
