GMail's removal of support for fixed-width fonts crippled it for me... my server reports are destroyed by proportional fonts, and formatting something with sane columns is a huge PITA.

All I see is a very difficult future cleaning off dead bugs and birds.

@70barracuda: "She's only cute before she steps out of the concept and drops the dress. The heels turn me off, talk about stilts! "

this article is stupid. Pay the high interest card first. Why? Because the interest does NOT go towards your debt; paying a high balance, low interest card pays money you owe, and consequently nothing extra whereas the high interest card, paid at minimum payment, does not significantly reduce your debt.

@burnblue: Do they run OSX? I'm there, right now, just point me to it. If it's windows they run, then I'll pass. Linux? Maybe. If the thing is really fast. Because - frankly - OSX and the apps that run under it are a lot more pleasant to use than anything else out there at the moment.

@prupert: I truly wish I had a beautiful walled garden. I have no idea why anyone else wouldn't feel the same way.

Worst "missing feature" is the filter's inability to set a reply address. I manage multiple web sites, and "who I am" varies from message to message. Google forces me to set the reply address manually (setting it to match the incoming address isn't sufficient, unfortunately) and so from time to time people get emails

I only have a home office - I own several businesses, and I find that having hired competent people, they don't need me in their hair all the time. So I'm set up at home and it works like a charm:

@Vivien Smith-Smythe-Smith: Look. You're trying to cast the US as on an equal footing with SA because the US has faults. The US is (and many other countries are) far superior to SA. It is a perfectly legitimate path to choose to move out of an abusive environment to a better one (or even just a less abusive one.) The

@Vivien Smith-Smythe-Smith: No one treats me as a slave or as a 2nd class citizen, Vivien. You're trying to beat a straw man here. Comparing the US to SA is disingenuous. Shame on you.

@Vivien Smith-Smythe-Smith: Well, presuming by "limited means" you don't mean "no feet", I'd still try (hard!) to leave. After all, one isn't likely to get any more means hanging around in a country that treats you as a slave. And why support a regime like that, anyway?

@Red-headed bookworm is now a brunette: That's an option, sure. Especially if you'd like to be stoned to death, etc. Personally, my opinion is that the best option to deal with a power structure that is promoting you to the lowest class is go elsewhere. Beheading is so... inconvenient.

@HBIC!: Doesn't horrify me one bit. My objective is to get you to explore your idea in a very physical way, that's all. :)

Why is it that there seems to be an assumption when a cosmetic or clothing invention shows up, that anyone is forced to utilize it? Cosmetics are like clothes, if you have any sense at all — they're just temporary plumage, plumage you can use to express yourself, send a message, and you can do the same thing by lack

@cassah: Oh, hey, there's your problem. You wear underwear.

@anteup: Some men are. So are some women. You're not helping the problem.

Speaking as an interested observer of swimsuit styles, this whole "straight line across the hips/breasts"... what woman hater came up with that? Anyone else notice the female body is curves everywhere? Anyone else notice that curves on curves and Vees on curves are much more flattering than straight, flat lines on
