There is actually some debate as to whether it's a reference to skin color. There is some evidence that the term originally referred to the use of red paint or dyes by certain Native American warriors.

I thought everyone gave up on their policy of not saying "Redskins" after that poll showing that most Native Americans didn't find it offensive? That policy may have been defensible last year but, in light of the best and latest evidence on the subject, A.V. Club should reconsider it.

I believe Romney said that Russia was our biggest international foe, which isn't precisely the same thing as the biggest threat. It was never silly.

Is Gerald McRaney a regular? He was the best part of the pilot (by far), but there really wouldn't be much logic in keeping his character around.

Even by the standards of 2016 America, he is more than "moderately" obese.

We already had a show that was Batman without Batman. Superman without Superman was the next logical step.

Live crowds are always going to be more enthusiastic than home crowds for stale acts. When you're watching at home, you're going to be bored if you're seeing the same thing for the hundredth time. There is a huge difference between Lost and Breaking Bad. In Breaking Bad, the timelime was largely linear. The dramatic tension was in what was going to happen in the future. It's entirely possible to tell a story with that sttucture making it up as you go along.

The problem isn't saying mean things about Trump. There are plenty of very accurate mean things to say about Trump. The problem is that the anti-Trump crowd overreaches, which undermines their credibility and is ultimately counterproductive. I'm not sticking up for Trump here. I'm blaming the overzealous anti-Trust

I do have some sympathy for Trump voters though and I've sometimes felt at least some temptation to vote for him (in the general election, definitely not in the primary).

Not the one with all the red, just the one with the all red everything.

Supposedly, the line as written was just "she fornicates." But since Sarah Hagan was basically Millie in real life she actually thought the expression was "fornicates it."
