Janey Needs a Shooter is a great song, but I don’t think I want to hear a 2020 version of it. Bruce’s recent version of The Promise paled in comparison to the 1978 outtakes version. His style has changed so much that he can’t really re-record the old songs without ruining them.

Rosenstein (Scott McNairy)

Rasta McNasty?

Read the Culture novels by Iain M. Banks. The setting is a post-scarcity utopia that’s a bit like Star Trek, only much higher-tech, and the author actually thought out the implications of what that technology would do to society. Characters regularly transition between genders; sometimes a couple will have two

I didn’t decide to stop reading the AV Club. The AV Club decided to stop publishing 90% of the worthwhile content it used to.

The full series is streaming on Hampton DeView. Borrow someone’s login and check it out.

Because The AV Club has decided to stop reviewing/discussing pop culture and focus entirely on memes and sexual assault allegations?

Does Frozen 2 count?

HOT DAMN, it’s an article about the Soggy Bottom Boys!

What’s wrong with slideshows?

Not just Twitter. You also have to write articles like “The hot new thing on TikTok is...”

The “Lucy” actress was Tress MacNeille, the voice actress from The Simpsons, Futurama, Tiny Toons, and pretty much every other animated show ever.

My theory is that Seth Rogen is competing with James Franco. Franco played twins on The Deuce, now Rogen plays the two starring roles in this movie. Next Jason Segel is going to join in by playing triplets, some of which may be Muppets.

What about Psycho Dad?

The New York Times didn’t actually reveal Scott Alexander’s real name. They told him they were planning to, so he shut down the blog to prevent them from writing the article. Even if they’d published the article, that would have been nothing like revealing Tucker Carlson’s street address.

So this isn’t an article about Gentle Herpes?

Some do. I’ve seen multiple craft breweries make their own “lite” beers, lower in alcohol, and usually cheaper as well. (Dogfish Head and Night Shift come to mind but I know there are others.) Not comparable to Natty Light, but a little more affordable.

I usually buy 100 proof rye for cocktails, so I’m intrigued by this stronger version of Old Overholt. How does it compare to regular Overholt?

Any Whole Foods that sells hard seltzer also sells beer and wine. They may also sell hard liquor, depending on the state. And they definitely sell donuts, whipped cream, and any other “unhealthy” food you can think of.
