There's still an interesting story to be told about people 15 years later living without power.  It wouldn't be about the initial chaos, but the more gradual adaptation to the new reality, and peoples' attempts to rebuild bits of the old society without technology.  But instead of telling that story, Revolution gave

That's inaccurate.  Halberds were actually used along with early firearms, because halberdiers protected the musketeers from cavalry.  The two coexisted for centuries.

I like the show, but 30 minutes a week is plenty.  It doesn't need to be nightly.

Most people are dead.  It just so happens that the few survivors are all people that Miles or Charlie's parents used to know.  And they're all easy to find, because they live in the same houses as they did 15 years ago.  All you have to do is walk the 140 miles from Philadelphia to Annapolis (which is surprisingly

I thought of that too.  Wouldn't it have been so much more satisfying if someone had to dash within amulet range in order to destroy the helicopters?  Rachel's knowledge of the amulet would have saved the day, and it would explain why Danny had to get close enough to be easily killed.  Instead, Rachel had yet another

I didn't especially like God is Dead.  It was a little too weird and unfocused for my taste.  I don't remember specifically what I didn't like, and I may like it more when I read it again.

Has anyone else read Ron Currie Jr.'s previous work?  It took me a while to get into "Everything Matters!", but the end was great, and I'm looking forward to rereading it now that I understand the whole story.

Linda's parents should have checked their lease, because they're living in Fuck City!

He used to be 1/4 of the UCB.  By mass, he's at least 30% now.

Just drink a Negroni and eat popcorn.  Or just drink a Negroni.

I bought creme de violet a while ago, and I can't figure out what to do with it.  I only use a little in my Aviations to make them a nice color; it barely adds anything to the flavor.

@avclub-a452630477eb936fd36fc9a9542d4598:disqus Sorry, it's taken.  Might I recommend "Warren G Farting"?  Or "Abraham Stinkin"?

Adam never wears a shirt.  Hannah said last season that she'd never seen him with a shirt on until that party in Bushwick.

The spring break episode was the first one I saw.  I instantly fell in love with Paris, and continued watching mostly for the Paris scenes.  I later discovered that I also liked Lane, and I always wanted Lane and Paris to get their own spinoff and leave Rory far behind.

From when Jake's old hippie friends visit: "Sounds like the girls are getting liberated!"

The band was a side project, not his job.  Nobody ever mentioned Charlie's job.  For all we know, he spent all of Season 1 developing apps and finally made a successful one.

Acceptable.  I'd enjoy it more if I didn't keep getting distracted by the Earl of Lemongrab and the weird character design.  And if I didn't get the urge to change the channel and/or murder Fred Armisen every time Fred Armisen starts doing his wacky accent comedy.

I just found out that a local distillery makes its own elderflower liqueur, like Saint Germain.  It was just released last week.  I'm excited, because I've been meaning to get Saint Germain for a while, and now I can get a local alternative instead.

I recently opened a bottle of Dolin dry vermouth, and it seems fine.  Dolin sweet vermouth has an odd flavor of tomato sauce.  It's not really tomatoey, but it's savory, and tastes like oregano or basil or something.  I've gone back to Dubonnet for my sweet vermouth needs.  (Technically it's not vermouth, but it's
