Exactly. Why, why, why are we filling up our jail cells with people who commit nonviolent drug offenses, while creeps like these can get away menacing others without any sort of meaningful punishment. I mean come the fuck on.
Yep, there are certainly no women who go to bars and use coasters or work at them! Shit, when you are faced with sexual harassment from bar patrons, coworkers, and managers, the last thing you’re wanting is even the bar merch to objectify women. Unless you’re at Hooters or something. At least then you know what…
Elsewhere in his site he claims Donald Trump is a Democrat. >_>
What the fuck, indeed.
They still have to overcome a lot of fear on the employees’ parts.
Sounds like you chose your employer in an ethical manner though.
It’s aspirational, because they probably believe their targeted consumer - upscale moms exercising their tushes off - wants the body of never having had children, even if they have or will have children. I think this is their fucked up reasoning. And it’s such patriarchal bullshit.
Bless you and your work. We need more of you in the world.
Yeah, we are lacking a lot of details here. When I worked at two large retail chains years ago, mid level managers were making $30,000 and being made to work 50 and 60 hour weeks. Wouldn’t be surprised if this were the case at Lululemon too.
When the new overtime rule goes into effect in September, they will be violating labor law if they do not compensate those making under ~$50,000 for time and a half for hours worked beyond 40 a week. http://www.dol.gov/whd/overtime/N… And it is a labor violation if they make employees work off the clock.
Go read his whole essay if you haven’t. It’s still insufferable and disappointing. The first comment calls him out and is amazing. It got 950+ likes. Worth a read. I’m glad he’s realizing Cosby was a serial rapist, but he’s not all the way there yet.
Literally this comment is the only thing that has made me laugh out loud today. Thank you for that.
Since he drugged women in consensual relationships with him as well, I think he just gets off on having control, the feeling of power he gets from - in his mind - degrading a woman and denying her agency. It doesn’t even matter to Cosby if a woman said yes to him. Sociopathy and narcissism as LasEstrellas mentioned.
She really needed Dan Abrams to walk her through it to know about statute of limitations, talking to her and the audience as if he’s talking to a toddler?
Eleventy billion, give or take a few.
Too true. I wish an anonymous actress would speak up about these tightropes they must walk to keep from jeopardizing their careers. Maybe there’s a site for it that I haven’t seen yet.
Agreed. I already saw another quote of hers talking about the need for more female writers and relegating women to the heartsick, crying girlfriend characters. Maybe she wasn’t comfortable talking about it in this context which strikes me as a little... odd.
Yeah those are about as exciting as vanilla pudding too.
Reminds me of a snail rather than fox.
