I didn’t get a single Chansey during that event. Never even saw any on the nearby list. And I’m in a major metropolitan area too.

I saw this coming the moment websites such as Kotaku and Youtubers spoke of the interviews they had with Niantic. The company that during the interview was obsessed with its vision of the game and seemed like it cared little about fixing it.

I don’t understand why won’t they just mark where the pokemon are approximately on the map. When you would get close to it you would see big circle to search in, like in the Witcher or Dragon Age Inquisition. This way the silly tracking system wouldn’t be needed, and players would be able to look for the pokemon they

Yep, that tears it. This on top of the company never getting back to people about failed paid items.

I was planning a day trip an hour away to Norristown Farm Park near King of Prussia in Pennsylvania after I was done covering my manager’s vacation but the Charmander nest there is now Bulbasaur so I’m not as stoked now. Also apparently Dratini doesn’t have a nest anymore and I’ve only found 3 and am level 22.

It doesn’t work like that anymore. The nearby list is completely random. You’re flying blind.

They may have killed Pokemon Go. Ought to be interesting how severe the fallout gets. Pokevision reply is odd. Sounds like they don’t know if they actually have a case against them to force cease and desist and are looking into it. Honestly, due to how Pokevision works I don’t think they would have any legal grounds

Screw you, Niantic. I spent $30 on Pokemon GO, more than any other “free” game I’ve tried, but you won’t see another dime from me.

Not even the base game wasn’t random at all. The pokedex told you what areas to go to find certain pokemon. Taking out the three step tracker just makes the game more annoying since you waste way more time looking for a pokemon and then it’s gone because its timer ran out.

Explanation for those who do not live near rural areas: (and for clarification rural means

The game was clearly never meant to be random or it wouldn’t have been released with its own radar. The fact that they took the easy way out of removing a broken feature over removing it shows they are the wrong company to handle this IP. Of course you won’t miss people. Speaking we shows you and your multiple

Yes, before I went blind finding the bathroom was just an instant gratification. Now that I am blind, I can experience finding the restroom the right way.

Come out to a rural area where i am. Where you will see many of deer, bobcats, and bears, but no pokemon. You can have your RPGness come true by climbing mountains and swimming rivers, but no pokemon. You and your trek will travel vast miles with ever-changing terrain, but no pokemon. Risk life and limb in search of

The game was never about random chance. The footstep tracker was a feature in the game to tell players where to find pokemon. Since that feature was broken (now removed), third party sites essentially fixed that broken aspect of the game.

To be honest i’m still amused by the mechanic of having the same CP Pokemon becoming harder to catch as you level up. Making it harder to find them in the first place is just gravy.

Well fuck... that was the one thing keeping me playing the game was finding Pokemon I didn’t have or needed and then going out there and trying to catch it in time.

Murdering this game for rural folks. I live in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, so unless I’m going to be driving down to Atlanta or something I guess I’ll be playing less, because I’m sure as shit not gonna go traipsing through the woods blindly.

The thing is... not only is the tracker gone, but I’ve found the nearby pokemon tab to be downright inaccurate when compared to what PokeVision would tell me was nearby.

Yeah, the shaking grass bothers the heck out of me. As a longtime player of the actual games, shaking grass has always meant a “high level/rare spawn” spot. I was at least expecting it to mean ANYTHING was there in this app, only to be sorely disappointed.

Already uninstalled. I simply can’t play it as intended, and barely could before PokeVision came along. I live in northwestern Nevada. There’s fuck-all out here, and nothing is within walking distance of me. I’m not taking a fucking walk and staring at this app in this heat without at least having a false assurance I
