I actually think it’s MORE fun to pull up the map, chart a route to the nearest Pokemon, and capture it. It still takes hunting and planning. Sometimes I have to park my car and walk. I honestly wish this system was baked into the game. Besides, even BEFORE the 3 step glitch the “nearby” feature sucked. If I’m at home

“Stop it. You’re not having fun.”

I think those sites and apps did save the game for me. They allowed me to see where the huge dead zones around me are located so I don’t waste time walking there. By knowing where the hot spots tend to be I can save myself from getting pissed that I walked 2 miles and only encountered 2 Pokemon.

To be honest, if they shut down those websites I will stop playing. When I’m at home and see a nice critter popping up a few blocks away, I go and take a walk. Usually I meet a few people that saw the same ‘mon and have a nice talk with them. I don’t really see the charm of walking around aimlessly.

“It takes the fun out of it”

When developers say things like this, I kind of think they’re idiots. YOUR definition of “fun” is not a universal definition of “fun”.

I’ll tell them what. I’ll stop using the API scanners as soon as they fix the fucking 3-step bug. How about that?
