Tiberius was a slower descent into madness. I prefer Caligula for the sheer speed that the batshittery took hold.

I’m more amused that they seem to be taking a statement of personal preference as a chance to try to change my mind and therefore proving the point of the that there will be a litany of people talking about how great their trucks are. The irony is hilarious.

Have you not heard of trailers? Vans can tow things, just not to the massive capacities that 1 ton trucks can.

I resemble that remark, as an American.

That one is easy to get around. Sprinter 4x4 and snow tires.

Snow tires and there are vans with ground clearance and 4WD/AWD.

You sir, are the reason God created the middle finger. You have been dismissed for adding nothing to the conversation but an insult. I hope your rectum itches from the inside.

It’s amazing what a bit more explanation does. Most of the responses are just writing off the choice where you did not.

I’ve spent the past ten years working on industrial construction sites, granted as an electrical engineer. You don’t need a pickup to do this type of work. You need a vehicle suited to what you do. Most electricians use vans due to protected storage. A longer wheelbase van will carry about anything you need for

We had no problems getting an ATV into the back of an Astro van. Also, trailers exist.

You’re right he’s not wrong, but as can be seen by this thread, people will try to prove to him that he’s wrong.

See comment about being a chubby nerd who doesn’t care about people seeing me drive a van.

Explanation as to why this is the case for me. As the post points out.

Live in an apartment.

This is the thing, I drive a wagon and I don’t generally carry things that stink and if I do I get the interior cleaned professionally within a day or two. I also don’t do anything that would require a truck often enough to worry about it.

I’m a 33 year old chubby, bearded nerd. Image is the furthest thing from my mind when I buy a vehicle.

If you are person that needs to have a manual transmission, then you are correct.

I’m enjoying the simple fact that people are criticizing a sentence that starts with the words “For me”. This is a statement of fact for the person writing it, not a dictate that this is the way is should be for everyone else.
