You just describe like 75% of the US road system right there.

Thank <insert religious deity here> that he cant run for president.

I’ve never figured out why people keep comparing them to the German luxury brands. Their interiors are on par with my Mk6 Volkswagen but with big fancy screens. The exterior build quality is laughable. At this point, I lump Tesla buyers in with the compact Mercedes and Audi buyers except for the fact that Tesla buyers

I think the other part of the high price is that the Saab versions had by far the best interior. Oddly, I think I see more 9-7Xs now than when they new.

I think that changed when they went to the “Vortec” engines. Power and torque both dropped by 10 for the new engines.

I believe they were a loom manufacturer, as was Suzuki. Kawasaki was and still is a shipbuilder and aircraft parts supplier, Yamaha was and still is a musical instrument manufacturer and Ducati made radios. Post WWII was an interesting time in automotive/motorcycle industry. Transportation was so important in the war

Ive seen them clean, I just can’t bring myself to spend $14K+ on a 10 year old GMT360.

Also odd fun fact, the engine used was an LS2 with the same tuning as the early C6 Corvettes and later Pontiac GTOs.

I think he lost it the same way Saitama in One Punch Man did, but he hasn’t decided to be a hero for fun yet.

I replied on another one that I fat fingered it, I even added a handy wiki screenshot. It was the RB25DE used in the GTS-25. I think the R34 I saw on there was probably a normal GT that used the RB26 block.

I’m 33 and still haven’t bought a new car. Like you I’m middle class but $300/month is about my limit. I just cant justify doing $500+/month on a new car, and unlike most I fully understand the need for 84 month loans on some of the new cars on the market.

That’s the GTS-T that had the turbo engine. I had it wrong in my previous post it was the RB25DE not the 26 in the NA GTS (I guess its the GTS-25).

Im in NE Ohio, home of lake effect rain, snow and ice and street departments whos entire strategy is put more salt down until the road clears.

Yeah it looks like if I buy one it will be used. Funnily enough the backup I had in mind when I bought the JSW was a R55 Countryman S. There were a couple good examples around me for around $12-14K but they couldn’t beat $10K for a diesel JSW.

My favorite of the Skylines has always been the GT-S. NA RB26DE and rear wheel drive with much more understated aero. One of the old Best Motoring videos had a R34 GT-S that was done up and had ITBs. That cemented it as the Skyline I wanted.

Unfortunately in my part the country that xB would be turned or turning into dust. For a safe, reliable car around me it almost has to be under 10 years old. Rust is a cancer around here.

I think the problem lies more in the fact that even though cars prices are moving with inflation, wages are not. I work with a bunch of older control panel builders who keep telling me that they are just now getting paid what they were in the early 2000s.

Why does he need a license, does your state not have regular State IDs?

This. I would enjoy driving so much more if I didnt have to do it on a daily basis.

A rusty 4-cylinder Ford Ranger with over 250K miles on it is $5k where I am. When you live in a place where vehicles turn to dust after 10 years there is a huge premium on safe and reliable used cars, you know the kind that you would want your offspring to drive.
