BMW usually has the Sport Package” which looks the same as the base car but has different suspension and...um...other stuff, and the “M Sport Package” which has the revised front fascia, fancy suspension, and I think monoblock calipers now.

I was wondering if there was a cooling reason for the grill size. I know Kenworth used to have to do some ridiculous modifications to the grill for their heavy hauler units. It had to do with the need for larger radiators.

You just described exactly why whenever I rent, I rent a CUV/SUV. If I’m in an unfamiliar place, I have to be able to see what’s going on and where I’m going around all of these hulking monstrosities.

They left their fiscal conservatism when they moved into power and embraced the all the fascists.

That’s a given and both are miles ahead of Ray Wilson.

Reverse: But it killed the Corvair because that was the example selected. This was despite the fact that most of the concerns pointed out were universal across the automotive industry at the time.

I never really cared for either Scarface or Carlitos Way. Serpico however...

All this made me think of was the pork flavored broccoli from The Boondocks.

I never suggested that a.) you were a simpleton or b.) suggested that glass was a good material for synchros to be made out of. I was merely stating that this analogy usually comes from a place someone who is ignorant to the amazing properties that glass can have and therefore annoys me. I make the same comment

I, for one, want VW to bring back the diesel in the US market, but only if they finally decide to just meet the regs in place and not skirt around them. I feel the same way about the rotary. I think they need to give up on turbocharging them as that just leads to reliability issues, but if they can make work, bring on

Actually I agree with him on this. You can’t really engineer for fun since everyones idea of fun is different. What you can do is engineer to a solid objective goal, in this case lap time.

Because fun is subjective. You cant engineer fun because every person has a different idea of what that is. Speed is objective and can therefore be set as the target.

The Toyota blind spot detection is easy to miss during the day but works fine at night. The most annoying one I’ve dealt with was on the Nissan Altima. That was a way too bright light on the inside of the door where the mirror attaches. I only had it as a rental but I never found a way to dim or turn it off.

Most back seats dont come with height adjustment.

I’m renting a RAV4 now and the rear visibility would be greatly improved if they would make the rear headrests smaller. I will say that it is also helped by the massive side mirrors. The one I would add to this discussion is the Golf and GSW. Both have a good rear view mirror visibility although they could use larger s

The age thing hits on something that bothers me every election cycle. Why do we still rely on the narrative that age brings wisdom. If your too old to work as a civil servant, you should be disqualified from running for public office.

My comment before even starting to read the article is:

It is. I grew up not far from where Mike Brown was killed (Bellefontaine Neighbors for those who wish to know), my mother still lives there. I vividly remember my mother telling me that the county had decided long ago that the north would go to the black population.

They’re a little on the expensive side new. If they can find a one year old CPO car on the other hand...
