IMO, it looks better than the A7 and any of the Teslas, but I think I still prefer the Taycan.

It surprised the hell out of me. I expected chaos with an engine that makes that much torque (450 lb-ft) at 1800 RPM, but it just gripped and went even on crappy tires.

Then there is the scathing commentary on yuppyism (sp?) with the Uncle Fester story.

It was a very strange thing. You basically had no traction when off the throttle. As long as you rested your foot on the throttle and left foot braked, you were good. Please note that this was also with the CVT but that alone shouldnt have caused the issues.

I never had an issue with xDrive scrambling to find grip in my 550, but I wouldnt be surprised to find out that it is programmed completely different from the 4-cylinder models.

I enjoy it for the first maybe two weeks. Right now I’m in Texas while it’s snowing at home in Ohio. I couldnt be happier with 70 and sunny.

That car for me ended up being an F10 550xi (2012). It had this weird combination of ease of use as DD and the ability to scare the shit out of you. They can be had fairly cheaply but make sure that it was a dealer serviced car with all recalls taken care of and that you hit the 5000 mile service intervals

I went from a 2011 Legacy to the BMW x-drive part time system. The BMW was head and shoulders above the Legacy in snow, rain and slop even on low profile all season tires. The older Subaru system might have been that way but the one on the Legacy was absolutely useless if you didn’t keep your foot on the throttle in

This was a fourth generation truck (1991), built in Hiroshima. The fifth generation trucks were the rebadged Rangers. Oddly enough the fourth generation trucks were the Ford Courier in some markets.

I’m in the US, so all we get are overpriced 25+ year old 70 series Land Cruisers. The 60 and 80 series that were sold here have either turned to dust or are overpriced because they survived, but can randomly be found cheaply from people who dont know or care what they have. The 100 and 200 series are here but never

The other two covered it pretty well. The unlimited isn’t really that much bigger than a RAV4 behind the rear seats. If youre single or its just you and one other person, the Unlimited is a good overland option.

Damnit, now I have to hide my boner in the meeting Im about to go to.

Its hard to beatSpace Lion for emotional impact.

I loved it the first because I was, am and will always be a space nerd. Now I cry every time I watch that episode. What made me smile originally now makes me weep. Its one of the few pieces of media that is guaranteed to get to me every time, along with a few MASH episodes, the end of Star Trek: Nemesis and few other

Thank you for this. I know I’m in the minority who prefer the Stand Alone Complex series’ to the movies but you are very correct in your explanation.

My thought is that finally Jeep is making a family overland vehicle. I would love a diesel one, put a shell and roof-top tent on it and take it out on extended off-roading trips.

I didn’t see it mentioned, but I might have missed it. Is this based on the upcoming RWD based Explorer architecture?

They earned my trust when my father’s B2200 had 160,000 miles on it, he had changed the timing belt religiously every 20, 000 miles, so 8 timing belts later, and the timing was still dead nuts. For what was a cheap little 80HP truck, that thing was built like a tank, handled ridiculously well and had surprisingly good

I failed my first driving test for not looking over my shoulder when changing lanes. I was taught how to drive in trucks and how to use my mirrors for everything.
