Well the scene showing Shepard in the rubble on Earth gasping for air gives even more weight to the idea he's dreaming (plus all the dream sequences throughout the game with the same little boy).

LOL! I think I'm there too but I have been tempted to go off my diet. It's funny that the first part of the ending has a 2001 vibe because the part with the Normandy and crew reminds me of the end of Wraith of Khan. I guess the follow up dlc will be called, "Mass Effect: Search For Shepard".

Yeah, that's what I suspected. Now they're spinning it as, "SEE! If you didn't love our game so much you wouldn't feel all this emotion! We brought that emotion out of you....now...pat us on the back by buying this $10 DLC that answers all your questions....OH WAIT...this is not the final FINAL ending. That's coming…

I had a feeling they already had DLC in the works to resolve some of the issues with the ending but I'm going to guess if they charge $10 for it they'll just be pouring gas on the already large bonfire.

Yeah, making it look less cool won't protect them.

That's what I'm thinking as well. I just can't believe as smart as they've been so far that they'd drop the ball on the one inch line. Hopefully it's all a dream sequence and they're just trying to get emotions high for the real ending.

Well they did lose their biggest big headed person a few months ago so they have room to expand....too soon? :\

Yeah, I didn't think the ended was as bad as Lost but it did feel a little less than the "meh" ending of Battlestar Galactica (hoping you've seen both to get what I'm meaning). They do leave you hanging but since they've already claimed there will be dlc I'm only slightly annoyed. :)

I pretty much agree with this. While I am annoyed with the current ends; I'm waiting to see if if the additional dlc Bioware has hinted at will either explain the current endings as dream sequences or it will explain the aftermath of your choice. I can't believe that as well as they crafted the rest of the series that…

I saved Kelly but I just made the first big choice that really punched me in the gut. Not going to spoil it for others but I'm still feeling guilty about it. Way to play with my emotions, Bioware... :(

I also had an adventure getting my Collector's copy. I thought my wife was going to pre-order for me months ago but she didn't so when we tried to do so a few months ago everything was out. So I pre-ordered the standard edition last week figuring I'd at least get something for pre-ordering.
