This list is bad and you should feel bad.
Out of ideas.
I think this particular scene is just exploitative. BUT!
How does this make any sense when the most dangerous part of Mileena is her mouth? Seriously, she used to just suck people in whole and spit out their bones.
Kotaku core, my friend.
Came here to say this. Youtuber announces game is bad before even playing it, Dev responds, Youtuber won’t play game because NOW there’s a bias. Like, what?
Roger Ebert never refused to review a movie because the director didn’t like him. Plenty of directors didn’t like him. Every movie got a fair shake.
If you’d wanted to cleanly recuse yourself you could have done it without making any mention of it at all. You know full well that making the statement that you can’t cover this game because you can’t be objective is tantamount to simply doing the review and bashing it passively.
You can backtrack all you like but you…
So, if every game dev said they didn’t like you would you stop reviewing games altogether, or would you just realize the the opinions of a person in relation to another person don’t matter when reviewing a game?
Thanks! I generally try to “converse” as much as possible in comment sections, but it doesn’t always work out, ha. I certainly don’t hold ignorance against anyone (although willful ignorance is another matter)- we all only know our own lives until we learn about others. So thank you for keeping an open mind! *internet…
I do. It’s difficult for me to describe how important a character like this can be. Even if it’s a small character, even if it’s addressed in a throwaway line of dialogue...even if it’s in a crazy, gore-soaked fighter like Mortal Kombat, even if romance isn’t a factor in storyline or gameplay, it matters. Equality is…
Straight people who make these kind of remarks (“Who cares if he’s gay? I don’t announce my straightness!”) and white people who do the same (“Who cares what color a character is? I don’t see color!”) simply can’t conceive of how important visibility and representation actually are to minorities because they’re always…
But it is though. I dont care if he is gay, transexual, its into animals or into his brother or sister, I just dont want it to be character trait people know this character for because the same thing happened with Dorian from Dragon Age Inquisition, its lazy writing and just pandering. How about people make an actual…
You can’t be gay and a real person! Pick one or the other!
I think it depends upon the presentation of the love/sexuality that makes it normal or pandering, tokenism is insulting as hell and shows that the offending writer really doesn’t give a damn.
With all that said I’m not talking about Mortal Kombat, as I really haven’t seen it, nor do I care to see the background…
It would have been better if people saw this character as an actual character/person
Except, Kung Jin doesn’t have a romantic attraction. It’s something he’s struggling with until somebody says ‘hey, it doesn’t matter, cheer up!’
Always detested the krypt. Time wasting glorified menu. I don’t derive enjoyment from wading through a virtual area where there’s nothing to do other than unlock stuff. It’s insulting, but people love as they’re too stupid to be insulted.
I was completely sold on this game for the last month. When the "spring sale" thing started with the last 5 weeks of indies I was planning 100% on getting Titan Souls but something happened a couple days ago.. and that is Bloodborne.
