If you’d wanted to cleanly recuse yourself you could have done it without making any mention of it at all. You know full well that making the statement that you can’t cover this game because you can’t be objective is tantamount to simply doing the review and bashing it passively.

I think it depends upon the presentation of the love/sexuality that makes it normal or pandering, tokenism is insulting as hell and shows that the offending writer really doesn’t give a damn.
