I would disagree that adding a new mutated versions of the existing races explores the backstory of those races. However, the fact that a Hive king is behind all of it may explore the backstory of the Hive. That itself disappoints me because we have already seen so much of the Hive, but I guess we’ll see.

Everyone is going to call for WBs head, but to be fair, they are taking a hit on this in terms of production cost and sales. They are also risking their already shaky reputation due to DLC practices and patch support. I respect that they didn’t just ship out these editions and then just deal with the complainers later.

Wouldn’t adding depth be adding new enemy types to the existing factions then?

That storyline could have been written to serve the need or want to simply reuse past enemy and race models. Oryx could also have rule over new kinds of Hive, or a new race altogther. It’s not Oryx or the Taken were already predetermined, they were written and created for this expansion.

That would be horrible. Playing Prison of Elders 35 with two, or even one, other player who isn’t competent can make it impossible to complete the objective.

I know, that is why I said “but with new crazy powers.”

Did you guys get the sense that the Taken were simply reskins of the Cabal, Hive, Vex and Fallen, but with new crazy powers. Cause that part of this new expansion is super disappointing. I can’t believe they didn’t bother to create a new race.

I need to know if there will be a frog suit in this game. I NEED to know.
