Yeah, but you have to admit, the way it is presented in this game looks a lot more like Resogun than it does Defender. Conceptually, they are the same, but aesthetically, it's a lot closer to Resogun.

I've played Mario Kart by myself and online (but also with my wife who likes MK) and have had some fun, but I do get the sense this game would especially be most fun as a party game.

Hmm, I had a feeling that was the case. I will be getting it for single-player and online. I don't know anyone IRL who would want to play Smash.
