I honestly think it is a bit of a stretch to call farming the loot cave an exploit. The loot cave existed in the beta and Bungie kept it, it's just another way to grind in the game. It's like saying doing chest runs of the respawning chests is an exploit. It isn't, it's just the way the game works.

Yeah, this happened to me last night, too. There were about six players, so it turned into a chaotic battle. It was a lot of fun.
