Homage to race cars with 800 hour paint times is a slap in the face of any actual race car where you waste as little time as possible slapping paint and sponsor decal on it. It just needs to look good on TV or from the sponsors private booth

You have far too much confidence in yourself. I disagree with the weakly justified conclusions you draw from your fact set. Your argument has been made and I fully see what you are saying. I just think your argument is a bad one. Agree to disagree. This is life, sorry you haven’t figured that out yet. Time will tell…
Yup. Even the 718 Cayman has this problem and it’s actually a better car in every respect than the outgoing model. But the turbo 4 rips some of the soul and irrational appeal out of the car. Let’s face it, irrational appeal is what this type of car lives and dies by.
Yeah but they are still charging less than BMW is for the their version of the actual same car. The Supra was something knocking on $50k new in the mid 90s, so honestly I think this price isn’t actually that bad if you put it in perspective.
I’ve seen quite a few in the DC area on the road. There’s even a guy who already totaled one at a track day and now is on a 2nd track build Supra. Looks like a blast as far as I can tell
It’s ugly, but you can’t see the outside from the inside, so while everyone else has to suffer you don’t. So that’s good. C8 is fairly gigantic in person. The Supra is much more tidy. Big fat cars are not as much fun on back roads, but it doesn’t matter so much on track. I guess the winner here just depends on your…
I’m just trying to unpack why you seem so certain, you’ve not expressed an actual argument. Just yelling that you’re right over and over. I’m not sure why Tesla makes both the fanbois and the haters so emotional.
Dude, go read your posts. What facts? Other than vaguely referencing GM’s stated large investment towards developing nextgen electric power train tech? I’m serious. Go look your prior posts and show me quotes from yourself. Don’t talk around it. QUOTE YOURSELF on your supplied facts (you can’t because you didn’t)
This is how it should work, as a reward for dedicated motorsports marshalls who’ve put in the time and years. And I hear it works this way in the UK. But many other races offer open online sign up to be a marshall. Not sure if this is because there aren’t enough well organized local motorsports to pull good marshalls…
The more I learn about everything, the more everything seems like a clown show. This isn’t an F1 problem, it’s a human problem.
Still waiting for you to express a cogent argument/opinion and not just go on the attack. Time may prove me wrong about what I’ve said regarding GM above, but at least I said something and explained why I think that way. If time proves me wrong, I’m okay with that. I’ll at least have learned something in the process. B…
I find him better at delivering hyped up excitement than actual nuanced insight about line, track conditions, cambers crests, etc that someone like Russell does.
Yes, the drivers literally do rely on visual cues like flags for momentary instant feedback. It’s much faster than having a guy in brackley reading a wind gauge, then relaying that to the pit wall and then the race engineer relaying that over the radio to the driver. Plus, the last thing a driver wants when they’re…
You’ve got a comprehension problem friend-o. You’ve also got a problem expressing your viewpoint. Probably because it’s more based on emotion than an assessment of what’s actually happening in the marketplace.
So that means we won’t need annual inspections now? I’m almost down for that. No more wasting 2 hours of a work day just to have some turd connect a obdii reader to my car for 20 sec and give me the ok and then charge me money. However in reality I assume this will just add a new thing rather than relieve me of that…
Having watched a number of hearings on the hill broadly speaking on “tech” (which the data discussion gets crammed into unfortunately)... I think we need about 90% turnover of our elected officials before something good gets done here. The questions they ask of the industry folk were insanely stupid and essentially no…
I miss the old days when there was a fuse to pull to disable stuff you didn’t like
Fear is the only tool anyone seems to use for anything regarding the public anymore. Reelection, upsetting an incumbent, keeping news ratings high. Everyone is guilty. But everyone thinks the “other side” is to blame. Everyone is to blame. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can fix ourselves and then render…
If you need a cheap set of replacements for your F40, these are a great option
Yeah, and don’t forget Mercedes as a team either. This is truly unprecedented dominance in a sport known for its egos and bizarre shenanigans. Toto Wolff might be the best manager I’ve ever seen. Mercedes rarely make a mistake and never make the same mistake twice. They keep winning but somehow manage to stave off the…
