But you still take a huge kick in the crotch from depreciation. Not enough that it makes sense to drive anything GM makes.

Not on this scale it isn’t. And this is a very complex situation. Unless GM (but really their partner Ventec who are the ones who are just hoping to utilize GM’s manufacturing scale to make their products) are also manufacturing their own components to make tens of thousands of ventilators, they will be fighting with…
OMG does the ac work. 993 a/c was garbage. 996 a/c blows massive amounts of cold air. that matters when you’re dailying in humid 90 deg temps
Looks bad in pictures. Works in real life from a functional standpoint. 15 years ago I hated 80s gauges, now I love how wonderfully odd they are. Will the 996 ever get to that point? I’d never say no, even though my gut says no haha
gross. nope.
Unfortunately couple grand engine rebuilds is not a thing with a 911, even a 996. You can get away with $10K probably depending on what’s broken. But likely it’ll be more. But it’s a 911. They all need rebuilds eventually and none are cheap. Worth it IMHO
Nah man, this is a run of the mill model. People buy that kind of 911 TO DRIVE, not collect. Unfortunately the current trend emphasizes “spec” of a car or if it’s the latest limited whatever seem to matter more than JUST DRIVING THEM. Even if you’re buying a G-body 911 I honestly think it is weird when one does NOT…
I cannot rate your reply high enough. Thanks!
There I go, making the same mistaken assumptions as those engineers but on a fundamentally different scale. Thinking right is hard
Reminds me of the story about NASA spending millions to develop a pen that worked in zero g and the Soviets just used pencils
Because it’s not that simple. Google is your friend. Read and learn
He’s 100% just landed an epic racist joke and feeling good about it
This thing is too beautiful to die... Unfortunately god hates Jaguar and has spun up a last minute global recession just in time for the announcement. Almost got one by him this time!
Wat? Personlaly I’m incredibly tired of crossplane v8s because they sound like crossplane v8s. Always. Million dollar car that sounds like a spicy camaro doesn’t do much for me. A good v6 can sound glorious. Reminds me of a prototype howling down the mulsanne vs v8 everything at your local drag strip or at a nascar…
That was released into a major recession. Which now seems to be the tradition for Jaguar’s supercars...
These crazy high end “supercars” are selling. The $150-300k space is far more competitive. Makes sense. Target the mega rich and not the regular rich I guess
I mean, ya. It ain’t a mass market volume product...
I’ve got questions. WWI and WWII happened. Lessons were learned about what works in a total war where there are shortages of everything and there’s no room for fat and everything must be repairable by a overworked, under resourced, possibly even very short (due to casualties) crew numbers... And we now end up with the…
Yeah, bummer they already decided to not follow that 11 year old design... No clue why that photo was associated with this article about future models. Not past models that never happened
You’ve been living in that world for along time. The prize money is getting bigger by the year.
