Sounds like a flat plane crank v8 to me (which is to say two angry four cylinders working in perfect unison)

??? Corvette has had a transaxle for a long time now
And yet it seems like Chevy engineers have been constantly giving quotes to magazines about how they felt they had really reached the pinnacle of what they could to with a front engined platform that was going to be traction limited in the way f/r always is.
I’m so sired of the “technically mid engined” argument as it completely misses the practical point and gets us mired in pedantry.
The one at 42 sec did for sure. Guessing that’ll be the C8R? Going to sound proper down the mulsanne
Yeah, hopefully the lack of rear traction
Yep, sounds like a cross plane v8. Yawn.
That’s like saying more boobs is more sexy and that a woman with 6 boobs is automatically 3 times more sexy. Or a dude with 3 times the dicks, if that’s your preference.
Are buttons really known for being that unreliable? lol
One might even say overloaded with crap. My car is 16 years old and my wife’s is 3. It has so much shit in it that we could care less about. So while there are “more features,” they dont; feel all that useful, they just seem aimed at keeping up with other manufacturer’s feature bloat.
And they’re becoming bloated with features that aren’t really adding to the user experience. My iphone Xs is stupid. It weighs to much that it breaks itselve at the most modest of drop, it is so large I need new pants, it has no headphone jack (lkjfurysdalkajmurdersdflarageksjdflkajdestroyasdf), and the battery still…
Best nav/media system is in everyone’s pocket. Thus a 1993 ford Taurus with an headphone to RCA input has better infotainment than the native system in a 4 year old anycar.
They’ve gone up in price faster than wages, at least says some article I read that I can’t find via google right now. Feels about right.
You’re on the right track, but dig slightly deeper. 997 GT3. Smaller, lighter, less capable, but slightly more raw and tactile in every measure. Plus the speculators are all being flushed out of the market right now and there are some deals to be had.
Leather isn’t an upgrade! It just upgrades the level of butt-sweat you experience. Leather = premium is a notion I wish would die already!
Different demographic to the 911 buyer, but I hope this is a bellwether of future trends. I think there are a lot of people under 40 who really appreciate that a cloth seat isn’t a downgrade seat material. I actually prefer it to leather, and I know a fair number of people who do as well.
The more variation you introduce as options, the less you experience the cost efficiencies of mass production. Porsche learned this lesson the hard way back in the 90s. Literally every 911 was hand built and you could pick through the option book and individually select individual leather wrapped options for things…
You’re 100% correct. But since when was that news to anyone? We all read similar history books in school, the lesson between the lines to anyone paying attention should be that time marches on and gives no fucks. Simple farmers living off the land became part of a feudal system, which gave way to another form, and…
That would be amazing, until the company just closed the factories and moved them to a country where these sort of expensive labor protections are not in place. Then everyone working for the company in that original country is fucked, even the janitors. I just don’t see any possible way to change the direction the…
From trucker to fucker. It’s the world’s oldest profession for a reason.
