lol you assume so much about me being just some “autocrosser.” Gah, you’re an arrogant one aren’t you? Also, you need to read more closely. I never insulted wheel to wheel racers. I just said there are tons of track rats and racers who under drive their cars. Autocrossers too for that matter. You spend sooooooo much

That’s interesting, I’ll have to watch that. Been ages since I watched BM, loved it back in the 90s. The Miata defn embraces roll lol and I can see how that would not be suited to everyone’s taste. The ND1 wipes the floor with the 86 in C-street, even though it looks like it might be slower with all that body roll.

That was my first thought, but that’s usually a semi-constant flickr whenever the brake light is on and the lights themselves are usually out of phase from each other. The blinking also seems to have such a tight a correlation to corner phase, I did not see it at any other time the brake light was on. You could be

Interesting, I think we just scooped the scoop. This is the hybrid 911 running in plain sight! haha

The issue behind the recall is on the engine, but the sloppy sealant is 100% on technicians. That’s operator error on the most basic level.

As bad as the trans was, as a city car they really are quite good. They can park in places only motorcycles can fit. Transmission quality doesn’t matter that much when you’re just doing 0-26mph-0 block after block. But that’s a super limited use case, so it’s no wonder they didn’t sell.

Yup. I’d 100% buy one over the Toybaru. Or Id just go ND2 Miata and get a mini trailer for hauling tires. Toybaru is now neither here nor there.

The brake lights are doing something here. During the period which you’d expect the driver to be trailing the brakes down to the apex, you see the brake light blink with a regular cadence. It’s almost like the “harvest mode” light you see in F1. The on/off interval seems too regular to reflect a driver input on the

Meanwhile a Civic Type R is $35k...

You nailed it. And these are reliable cars, so a buyer can genuinely cross-shop a low miles 2012 against a 2019 car. That delta is waaaaaaay more than $9k. And what do you get for your extra money on a 2019? A warranty on a worse looking version? Buying the 2019 over a used one is actually kind of an objectively

I fail to see why they aren’t at least throwing more TRD parts on these alleged “special” editions. If they don’t want to keep developing the car in substantive ways, they don’t have to. The PARTS ALREADY EXIST!!!

The only thing I’ve said is that I don’t have a lot of seat time in that particular car, you’ve wrongly assumed the rest. I’ve been around more of “instructors,” “racers” and HPDE drivers that only know the school line (and don’t know why it’s not the fast line) and only know how to under-drive their cars. You can

And here I thought this big ol’ thing was a Panamera coupe

As nice as that would be, it simply will never, ever, ever in my wildest dream, happen now. To make money at this price point, it would have to be a volume model. Producing a volume model profitably means keeping costs down and production as standardized as possible. Crazy a la carte options would eat Porsche alive on

The m3/4 is spiky and is renowned for being the opposite of “playful” by many people whose opinions on cars carry a lot more weight than yours. I don’t have a lot of seat time in an M3/4, but I have seen them driven at their limits and have spoken with those owners. They agree with the those other opinions I

If they were serious about weight savings they wouldn’t have 65lb luxury sport seats in there or all that atrocious sound deadening.

Give me $10k and I bet I could lop about 350lbs off that car too. I’d leave you the radio and a/c, I’m not a savage.

There’s a big difference between a GT3 and an actual GT3 Cup race car sold by Porsche Motorsport to customer race teams. The race cars are race cars with motorsports VINs and I they are literally impossible to get road registered here in the US

It’s bananas how heavy the m2 is, but the M2 Comp is a hell of a package. I can see no circumstance where I would buy an M4 over one. Even if they both weigh the same, the M2 is much more compact and feels much more connected to the M cars that earned BMW it’s reputation.

Honestly the GTI would be more fun every day anyhow. The M3/4 is not a very playful chassis even in the best of circumstances. I honestly am not sure why anyone would buy one over an M2 comp unless they absolutely needed the 4 doors for their 90% use case (Which they really don’t. most people have 1 person in the car
