I have a dishwasher and I don’t use it because I don’t like the way dishes smell after they come out of a dishwasher. I use it as a drying rack. We recycle our gray water with a 5 gallon bucket under the pipes, so the water used for dishes goes to the compost and the garden.

I have a problem with Gwen hunting for arrowheads, as she has no respect for Indigenous culture. I’m wondering if she and Blechh got them on public lands, where there’s a $225 per arrowhead fine for removing them.

Oh okay, I didn’t know if down dog was the name of the app, or the pose that helps. I got my dad a foot roller designed for plantar fasciitis already but he’s not using it much :/

You may want to do some research on “no poo”, the cutesy name for not using shampoo at all. I haven’t used shampoo in probably 4 years. I keep a small bottle in my shower which is a mixture of ACV and conditioner. When I want a clarifying no-poo, I shake out some baking soda into my hand and add the ACV/conditioner

Yes.

What pose is helping your plantar fasciitis? I’m asking for my dad, who might give it a try.

Dresses with pockets are my jam! AwWwWww yeaaaahhhh!

Can you dash out that salad dressing recipe? I’m thinking 1/3 cup olive oil, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp ACV, 2 tsp brown sugar, ginger to taste. Am I close?

Right? Amanda Blackhorse, Jacqueline Keeler, Suzan Shown Harjo, Chelsey Luger and Stephanie Fryberg are all names of female Indigenous writers/essayists I can think of off the top of my head.

Her first two are boys, so her friends are probably excited she’s having a girl.

Annnnnd I’m dead now.

The chickens love to hear her scratch. They shake their tail feathers to it.

I mean, I believe it.

So I’m not replying to PimpHandofSisko directly, because it’s obvious when a person is here just to spew biased views and baseless assumptions, and I don’t want to lift that up. But I’ma respond, all the same.

Now playing

This clip is basically my husband getting ready for bed, adjusting his pillow.

I’m pretty sure NYC is Lenni Lenape territory. San Francisco is stolen/occupied Ohlone lands. Chicago is the homelands to Algonquian tribes. Atlanta is Creek and Muskogee lands. The metro Phoenix area, which includes Scottsdale, another culture vulture mecca, and Tucson are occupied O’odham lands. The name of Tucson

I am still connected to SpEd as an early intervention specialist for birth to age 5 children with diagnosed special needs. I’m a home visitor for children with IFSPs and IEPs now. My pay is about $2K more than I made when I left classroom teaching, and it’s still not very good pay. I’m going back to grad school in the

Yeah I just finished reading the article on bringing a baby into Appalachia (cross-posted from Splinter) and realized as a starting teacher, I made $2000 less per year than the $39,000 that the Appalachia article states is 15% below the nation’s median income.

I read that as the brown bear and white tiger got married, and I went “ooo yippee” and felt like Leslie Knope for a second.
