Somebody get the Coen brothers on the line and get them writing Goodman a part. He can bring Laurie Metcalf along with him.

An entire article and comment section without mentioning DanBill Bishop???
Ugh, I truly despise this sort of “criticism of criticism.” If the reviewer’s opinion doesn’t match the comments he should get the boot? Wrong. His review is thoughtful and well-expressed; if you disagree with it, you should be thankful he drew the lines so well that you could push back.
All due respect to It’s Always Sunny, but The Mick might have more left in the tank
Idk, the Mick is consistently HILARIOUS and edgy as hell, surprisingly edgy. In some ways it has more to offer than Sunny.
The Mick isn’t on the same all-time great sitcom level as It’s Always Sunny, but I hope it gets renewed. It is a great vehicle for Kaitlin Olson who for my money is the best sitcom actress alive, and I’m not sure they are any dead ones I would take over her either.
“Hoobastank” was such a misleading name, how were they not a Limp Bizkit-esque rap-rock band?
Chelsea Manning was never a political prisoner. She committed an actual crime and was convicted and sentenced for it. With all the wisdom and depth of thought of a 20 year old high school graduate, she released decades worth of classified reporting from US diplomats overseas. Ya know, the people who try to keep us and…
+1 for being another person who keeps thinking about this whenever reading about Ryan Coogler
Still not the Koogler movie we need.
It’s a turd that falls apart completely in the third act.
Do you realize that someone has said this exact thing about every episode this season? Dennis can’t give them all decent reviews.
The show ends, and society emerges from its collective haze, rather embarrassed at how much we let this childish blood, guts, and fucking show steer the conversation of what ‘mature’ genre fiction should look like, and we collectively agree to enjoy it solely as a problematic but well-made fantasy romp, and not the…
I’m holding out for Maria Covarrubias’ return.
To be fair, the musical guest was Halsey, who appears to be a the result of an attempt to combine Avril Lavigne’s edginess with a Rhianna who’s been de-rastafied by 10%.
Cecily Strong raises the quality of everything she’s in. The Chantix ad hit home with me - I’m so tired of the darn Chevy ads where they say “real people - not actors”, which unintentionally relegates actors to - what? androids? Martians? Holographic displays? And she made that whole sketch have direction. She’s one…
And that very same dog is Luke Null’s replacement.
OK, I know I’m going to take some shit for this, but I finally watched The Wire this year. And it’s as great as everyone says.
But when will we have the option to sort comments by the number of Simpsons references?
Completely agree. I like Cera, but he's no Scott. The cast was otherwise mostly very good (though I'm not sure why they changed Steven Stills from sardonic frontman to panicked Shaggy from scooby doo)
