Is that Bob the Burger doing an homage to Totoro?

Too bad his political satires aren’t all that much better than the movies he makes with Ferrell.

He’s not for everyone, but I personally love Kyle Mooney and the weird brand of comedy he brings to SNL. It somewhat reminds me of Nathan Fielder’s humor

This just goes to show they need to let Bob Odenkirk host ASAP.

TOILET DEATH EJECTOR I have not laughed at a skit as loud in months.

Waltz was a bad choice for that character. He’s never come off as scary or intimidating and certainly not powerful to me. He’s always just kind of a jovial Austrian that thinks he’s evil. Javier Bardem’s acting was far more compelling and his manner was appropriately weird where Waltz just seems like a rich hipster

“It’s not ‘our sort of film’ if you know what I mean.”

“Heineken?! F*ck that sh*t!

I’ve watched ‘Mad Men’ all the way through like three or four times now, and yet every time the Bethany Van Nuys character turns up, I without fail go, “Holy shit, that’s Anna Camp!”

Because I haven’t seen anything outside of SNL. What’s he done outside of SNL? What else is there?

Total Recall.

Bernthal’s perfect for mafia stuff. And Varmiga is perfect for everything. I love this.

I liked Inherent Vice, even though it definitely isn’t his best and it led to a huge argument between me and my girlfriend (she was angry that I just wanted to talk about the camerawork in the scene where they’re running through the rain to score, while she wanted to talk about the fact that I’d shown up to the

Inherent Vice is not PTA’s best film but I freakin love it, love the music, and the look and feel of it. and that Katherine Waterson scene was a nice bonus.

I liked Inherent Vice. It felt like both a spiritual sequel to Boogie Nights and a fun riff on The Big Lebowski’s stoner PI model.

John C. Reilly is an amazing dramatic actor the dude is incredible in Boogie Nights and Chicago but is great at comedy too. Walk Hard might have bombed hard but it was a perfect parody of Rey and Walk the Line.

Hard Eight or Magnolia would better illustrate your point IMO.

Seems you’re forgetting Walk Hard, the best movie of the 21st century.

Mandy and First Reformed are good examples of how people will only appreciate Cage and Schrader when they’re marketed just right.
