Few things in life give me warm fuzzies like seeing Obama with kids does. I love kids, and I love that he does, too.

President Obama has been a disappointment in many ways. However, I love that he is a role model for black kids. The above photo and old photo of a black boy touching his hair are wonderful.

Here’s a little bit of one!

That photo makes me cry every time I see it. It makes me fully appreciate the historic nature of this presidency, and the fact that it opened up the IDEA of being president to a whole group of young people who wouldn’t have otherwise considered it possible.

The memory of this moment will protect these boys from a fuck-ton of all the damaging, racist bullshit they’ll be subjected to coming of age in the United States.

Scrolling through the linked website of the full array of pictures is well worth the time… many are quite impressive.

At the very least, if he could guest host a few episodes, I would die. He would be so good at it, too!
