You already KNOW he was in the minority. Uncle Thom(as) has been voting against the interests of people who look like him since...this new thing called “always.” I don’t know of any other black person who holds the 14th amendment in contempt the way this nigga does. It’s mind numbing.

My knockoff was great, until the knockoff waterproof case became not so waterproof, after 2 mins 41 seconds submerged in the caribbean. Man those nearly 3 minutes were beautiful tho.

That’s the problem with Gopro, they were great, so great, they got knocked off relentlessly. I bought a knockoff for like $40 bucks. It’s great, it fits all gopro accessories, and it does 1080p decently. It’s more than I need, and it’s FORTY bucks.

Dude, just quit and let me take over, I will CEO the hell out of your company.

Don’t tell women how to live.

How on earth would you possibly know what a woman was thinking as a stranger approached her? And in my experience, white men have been/are the most likely to harm me.

You don’t pay for service?! You’re a fucking dick.

This. I have had many friends and family members who were servers and I want to make sure they get the tip I’m leaving for them. Especially if I’m sitting at a crowded counter or bar, where someone could easily grab any cash I leave behind. (With that situation when the server isn’t present, I usually wrap the receipt

My mother visited me recently, at which point I discovered that she thinks it is perfectly okay to leave a 10% tip. I am horrified and trying to figure out how to break it to her gently. Important bits:

I feel like this article is probably just an excuse to roast Kappas (fine with that, btw); but, real world, when it comes to cash tips, I actually make sure I hand it to my server or at least that they know it’s there. This isn’t because I’m trying to show off, but because my sister was a waitress in college and once

Yeah.

I don’t know, yesterday he was crowing about going to a Rams game. I don’t think he’s hurting too bad.

It wasn’t that he denied her the meds.

Wow. Your comment just made me realize something I hadn’t thought of. I wonder how damaging it is from a societal perspective to be CUT OFF from the ability to just jump in and help out in any given situation.

I feel your frustration, but maybe in the future you don’t need to curse someone out for just being fearful?

She probably read The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker. It’s a great book. It teaches women to listen to their instincts and stop being “polite” when they feel afraid. de Becker is adamant that it’s better to be rude and wrong than polite and assaulted, raped, or killed.

There was some recentish story about a boy who got grabbed into a car, got out of it (safe no less), and knocked on like 3-4 doors till someone called the cops for him/on him. He was something like 8 yrs old and Black, and people thought he was pretending to need help so other people could rob them.

Now playing

Blackish covered this very thing recently as well:

I think women do very similar mental calculus in these situations, too, though maybe not out of fear of the cops, but certainly for fear of their own safety.

In a world where Henry Louis Gates Jr, an adorable elfin black man wearing khakis & aided by a cane, can be arrested for entering his own house in a cushy neighborhood, yeah you did the right thing by minding your business. They prob got AAA.
