As much as I hate to say it, this looks like a set up. We all know that Alex Jones only gets hard when the kids are dead.

His face when Max says “Pipe dreams, dad. I’m a barber’s son” alone should have been worth an award. Just an amazing mix of anger and hurt at the insult of what Max said, yet also sadness at his son giving up is amazing.

So after all of this, we’re getting two James Gunn comic book movies?

Leaving aside the fact that one of the people he targeted was fucking 14, lines like:

“She never played another gig.”

AND (from a different person)

“The A.V. Club now discourages use of a particular four-word description coined by one of our writers”

I can not understand why someone hasn’t adapted Insomnia yet. It’s not just the first mention of the Crimson King, but the book is filled with some of King’s most arresting visual ideas. I just need a big studio to talk Shane Carruth into helming the adaptation.
