Sounds like an awesome ride. We put the studs on our fat bikes and go for miles when the ice is good. Here’s what the lakes looked like in January. You could look down and see underwater like a glass bottom boat:
Great tradition! One of my favorite memories is of cross-country skiing in northern Minnesota under a full moon with only a few whispy streaks of high-altitude clouds.
I was out for a ride by myself (during the day) and got a flat out in the woods. I was sitting on a log and heard a twig snap behind me, so I looked over my shoulder and was face to face with a deer. I couldn’t believe it was able to get so close without me hearing. I’m pretty happy it didn’t kick me in the face.
I’ve been out on a lake before. I though it would be ok given that people had vehicles and an ice fishing shack out there. It went fine and it is definitely weird riding a bike and looking back at land.
Going to bet the Nissan drifted across the center line while taking the corner. Gotta hit that sweet apex!
I believe this is from the same movie as your second gif, I think it’s likely to be the most dramatic lamp removal you’ll see:
You might be right. I sure do hate it when drivers regard driving as “empty” time just begging to be filled by multitasking.
Well, DAYUM. First place I looked at had a great view, and a lot of potential, but I had to remind myself that a good view just isn’t a necessity when at the expense of my other criteria. Some day!
Wrestle pigs, get covered with mud.
Yeah I got my requirements I guess, but my like-to-haves would have come with a fire place, and a commute from a different direction. However, people who live near this house have somewhat quelled my fears, and I can get a gas fireplace eventually and be mostly satisfied.
The newer geometry is revolutionary.
Yes, past a certain point, component spec becomes less relevant. There’s little performance difference, if any, between XTR and XT. It’s mostly weight savings at that point. I’d be looking at a GX 12spd build with the anticipation of upgrading components as they are damaged or wear out.

We are currently witnessing a new chapter of history. Specifically, the next definition of classic cars. Our parents pined for the cars of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. My sisters’ and my generations started Radwood. And in a decade or two, the people who are teenagers & pre-teens now will wax poetic about cars like the…
We will lift the import ban but also ban crossover coupes like the BMW X4 and Mercedes GLE coupe.
Dr. Niedorf: Answer as quickly as you can... how old is a person born in 1928? [starts stopwatch]
The blinker fluid overflow valve is stuck open. It happens from time to time on that particular model. Just a quick part swap out. Only about 40 bucks for the part.
We really just need to pick one or the other and be done with it. I don’t think is ever really worked as intended and their are studies showing it is actually harmful to our health.
Boat ownership is the only thing that I reccomed to both my best friends and my worst enemies.
