That’s Ford rust, my 2017 Escape company car is bubbling at the bottoms of the doors. Granted, it does have over 67,000 miles, but cars shouldn’t do that if they were painted right at the factory.

I like that idea, I’ve been looking at some Honda’s for fun myself as possible next vehicles. I like the current gen Civic but would want one with the volume knob. I think the hatch version is cool for practicality. I also like the idea of the Passport a lot.

Very common on the Escapes, my wifes ‘05 (1st gen) is just starting to rust in the wheel wells, but at 15 years old and 165k miles (og a Cali rental car, then I suspect it spent most of it’s life down south behind an RV). Read more

Eh, Ford build quality even with careful owners is not something I would want to be stuck with long term. I say keep the car you own, sell the Escape, and set aside some of the money into a repair fund for the Honda. The second gen Escapes just don’t do it for me.

If you Google his name, he seems like one of the people that would show up at every monthly township meeting to complain about the parking lot at the baseball field being paved in the wrong shade of asphalt or the police not taking him seriously when he reported the suspicious squirrels by his mailbox.

I have a friend who’s teaching at a private school right now, must be very challenging. They’re still not having any children in for in person schooling, but she’s still required to drive in to her classroom and do her zooms from there. I’ve been doing okay.
