I set my car up for this. Then my mother borrowed my car one day and I didn’t realize it would turn over with her driving it. I got it back with like, 123457 and change. OH THE HEARTBREAK

In fact, he did lie about the weather, at his inauguration:
That’s cool, and I guess it’s been a while since I saw one of the mythbusters setups. And yeah, they didn’t make it so a human could still drive the car; that’s a big difference...
While I applaud his efforts, don’t they convert cars to r/c on Mythbusters all the time? I haven’t watched that show in a while, but I remember them doing it often. I know they have a ton of resources and this is just a guy doing it by himself, but still.
And apparently, parts of this resort were re-developed and opened, starting in 2016.
YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY
It’s lucky she didn’t kill any of the firefighters. Can you imagine walking around behind the truck to grab something, who knows, and here comes an 5,000lb car at 60? Yikes.
I live in a rural area and the keys to our cars live inside. It’s still theft if you take my car without my permission.
I would think so, but then they say speeds up to 70km/h are permitted and it’s ~130km? I’m sure when conditions are rough, you can’t go that fast. But if they were good, you sure could go faster. Still. Doesn’t seem like the kind of road where google maps time would be reliable.
Awesome. I figured your friend who needed to be picked up would have an effect on your timeline, but if you can make it all happen, that’s perfect. Have a great trip! When do you go?
That’s awesome. I have a real problem keeping my left foot from hitting the brake pedal, or at least stabbing at the floor as I approach a stop, in our automatic.
We didn’t have an automatic for a while, and when we got one, I kid you not, my son asked where the clutch pedal was.
All true. My father in law is trying to basically give us his 220k ‘05 Denali... it’s rusty and another mouth to feed that I just don’t need... but it would be nice. For a bit.
Sure, I’ll take one. Just let me put 16 or 17" wheels on it with nice meaty tires, and we’ll call it good.
I think I’d take the RST over the denali/escalade trim, though. Gimme the good stuff but don’t make it flashy for no reason. This looks like a friggin box. But I’m sure it’s pretty nice inside and also plenty powerful. Perfect! (see username)
I did read those links, and the only reason given that is really compelling is ensuring the continuing function of the brake, which you can do by engaging it occasionally. It’s not necessary to do it every single time, especially parking on a dead flat.
Again, that may be true but what if the car is on a dead flat? Most of the places I park are completely flat. You could leave the car in neutral and it wouldn’t move an inch.
