Yes, on a hill is a very different story. But if you don’t park on a hill...

I think that’s it. I just almost never park anywhere on an incline, despite living in a hilly area. It turns out, most parking spaces are flat.

I didn’t know that (not) using your parking brake was a thing people got upset about. Even in my manual cars, I rarely park anywhere where it won’t stay put just leaving it in gear. I only use the parking brake if I have to leave the car running and it would roll otherwise. Do people actually use the parking brake in

E46 wagon:

That would be typical of an Amazon review, wouldn’t it? Product works exactly as advertised but something happens as a result of this, and therefore a bad review is written. e.g. “beer was great but I drank too many and got a hangover, one star.”

Have you ever seen a pickup truck with a cap?

It’s an enormous difference. It’s probably the biggest hangup I have versus buying a later XC70. Also, you can get the XC70 with a turbo 3.2 straight six.

Came here to say this. When shopping for an XC70, the V90 was just coming out and our local dealer had but ONE on the lot. I was looking at it with another customer, a loyal Volvo Wagon person on her 4th, and she said, “Well, I guess my current one (XC70) will be my last, because this cargo area won’t fit our gear and

#COTD. I haven’t actually laughed out loud at my desk in a long time. I don’t know why this comment set me off, but thank you.

Well played.

That’s ME! It was a Jetta wagon before I put all that plywood on it!

I also have see the airflow in the back of a truck, and it generally takes everything that’s loose in the bed - leaves, dust, dirt - and pushes it forward. In other words, right into the cab if that was flipped down. Seems like trouble...

Heaven Forbid you have to leave your tailgate down, or have the sheets of plywood sticking up a little over the tailgate with it closed!

Can’t fit a kid in that backseat with the whole seat folded down. Meanwhile, I had a sheet of plywood strapped firmly to the roof of my little wagon the other day, with both kids in the back seat, and didn’t need a truck to do it.

I’m guessing those rear windows pop out from the rear or something... but still. That just means, don’t put the trim on the rest of the windows!

After a complete engine rebuild on a Ford V8, I managed to put the plug wires on in reverse order (on the distributor cap). The thing would turn over, sputter, but not run. I fiddled with it until pretty late one night, then gave up. I was so frustrated.

Oh man, that makes me cringe.

Not sure if just trolling... but a 12v car battery can definitely hurt you

here you go!
