I think you’re right on with everything you said about that car. I don’t think I’d ask $5,200 for my car and it’s got 120k fewer miles and it’s a better color. This one happens to be the one color I totally ruled out in my searching.

Exactly. Although the seat memory on this car does something nice - you press the button once and it just goes, you don’t have to hold it. Mirrors, too. So that’s something I guess.

Do it!

True. Do they even have roads there? Maybe that’s why it’s so low mileage...

haha I just couldn’t resist! I literally found that other one yesterday. I also have one myself; I sold an ‘01 for my ‘03, same car.

Ah, having had to replace one of the motors on my power adjustable seats... I’d be OK with the manual ones.

Don’t resist! I love my car. There’s a reason I replace the ‘01 with an ‘03!

I’ve had two of these, still have my ‘03 with about 166k. I sold the ‘01 with over 200k with no issues - I think it was just under $4k. These cars are easy to work on, and easy enough to stay ahead of the likely problem areas. Also literally everything that can be done, has been documented on the internet thoroughly.

Or the same E46 manual wagon for $1000 more, but almost 200,000 fewer miles (!!)

As the owner of a 2003 325xi manual wagon, former owner of a 2001 325 xi manual wagon, CRACK PIPE. Buy this one instead: 94,000 miles, asking $6k.

You’d love the shifter throw on my ‘61 Ford pickup, then. First is pretty close to the dash, second is down by the seat, third is waaaaay over about a foot to the right, and fourth is right back down in the passenger’s knee. Reverse is like, over by the glovebox somewhere, FAR right and up. I usually put it in reverse

There needs to be a meme now, of various cars (that are not remotely off-road-oriented) parked like this on small obstacles. Like a 2x4.

Thanks for picking my Jeep story!

Easy, I don’t feed my kids pop tarts!

We had rear-facing seats in my E46 with regular adults in the front seat. I’m 5'11" and it wasn’t ideal, but it was OK.

A few years ago with Kiddo #2 on the way, I sold my 2001 325xi wagon. And bought a 2003 325xi wagon, haha. My wife also had an X3 at the time. Both were manageable with rear-facing seat behind the passenger, and kid #1 could turn around by then, he was 2. The 3-series has just the right back seat shape, apparently, to

I’ve actually done this on purpose, just to mess with friends from out of town: I took a left off a main road onto a lake, as a shortcut to our destination. Mind you, the ice was VERY THICK, there were other vehicles out there, and I knew it was quite safe.

As a resident of the lovely, strange state whose largest liquor stores are the two twin (north-south) stores immediately off the highway, I thank you.
