This. And I own a 14 year-old BMW, and yet the R’s scare me. I looked at a very nice one a few years ago, dealer-maintained from day 1. It was like, routine maintenance, routine maintenance, BAM $1,500 for a “body control module” or some other thing. Every year.

My wife’s 2005 Volvo S40 had a key that wasn’t cut or anything, but shaped like a key - actually very much like a baby toy key. You still had to put it in the dash and turn it, but it was only reading the chip or whatever.

I can attest to the greatness of this engine. We had a 1979 F100 with this engine and a 4-speed manual that I grew up around, learned to drive on some, and then took to college with me. My father’s idea of winter storage for this thing (in New England) was parking it in the woods for 6 months, then firing it up. This

So long as the hill hold works properly, I don’t mind it a bit. My wife’s current car has it, and it is handy yet doesn’t get in the way. Some people have a lot of trouble with the way hill hold operates on some brands or models, which I guess depends on how the system is designed.

Thanks. I was thinking, E39 540i maybe.

At least can you mention what model the wagon was?

I’ll give you one example of how a semi-vanity plate can actually be cool:

I like my E46 Tourings straight up with a side of Thule, thank you.

That’s what it should be from the factory. Why do people essentially want a wagon but don’t want any of the ... advantages of the lower overall height?

I think you’re right even though there are undoubtedly some cars labeled as SUV that are unibody construction, and there are of course wagons with AWD (I own one) but yeah. Crossover implies “not a truck” and SUV implies some truck-ness.

my bad, should have explained in the picture! The kids were in the cab, just to be clear. I’m not offended, no worries. Cheers!

No worries, it’s hard to express emotion on the internet! Cheers

Do you really think they were standing around like that while we pulled it out?

Do you really think he was standing there while we pulled that out?

It’s... a former fire department truck... I now realize that’s not obvious looking at it from that angle.

Wow, I bet the neighbors were happy. What did they do with it once it was out? But at least the truck was in one piece afterwards...

Is it just me or does the preview of that video not match the video at all, except for being a stupid attempt to pull a tree?

My 3-year old son even knows to do this properly!
