I live in the area. 31 people are *confirmed*. UW scientists figure at least 500 people have the disease in the area. Most without notable symptoms, of course.
we had a bad disease go through a couple weeks ago, and my wife is still recovering from secondary lung infections. Did we have covid? Can’t say (when we went

The more I think about it, the more I want Ellen Page to play Joel.

Do yourselves a favour and watch The Girl With All the Gifts. The first half is -exactly- The Last of Us, but about halfway through, it takes a sharp turn and becomes something unique and wonderful.

Konami would turn it into a virtual pachinko parlor.

If you love the Mini Eggs, do yourself a favour and get someone to send some down from Canadia. They are objectively better. The ones here are still very good, but there’s just something about the Canadian ones. Perhaps it’s because they still give Easter off as a holiday that the bunny graces them with extra joy.

You address this in the article, but I think it’s important - *given the limited info we have now*, it seems the people who die from it aren’t any different from the regular flu - if you are higher risk, then you are at *way higher* risk. So take care. Don’t visit grandma if you’re at all concerned. But if you’re

Ugh. I was concerned about that. They’re sooo expensive tho, and what if it’s not? I kind of expected memory cards to be dirt cheap at this stage of the system’s life, but I guess they’re precious now...

About every 5th to 10th time I open my VITA, most of my games are missing or give errors when I launch. I have to open the secret menu and select “rebuild database” (or something to that effect) and then everything is fine for a while. Does anyone else have this issue?

Not really. Rare just means it doesn’t happen often. An exception means it’s breaking an established rule. If there’s no rule, then it’s not an exception to a rule.
There’s no rule that soft “gi” needs to be followed by “n” (with or without my addition examples)
Thus, soft-g gif does not break any rules.

Why don’t you just sell your hotels and houses that are underwater, and buy properties further inland?

Rarity doesn’t mean it’s an exception to a rule; sometimes it just means it’s rare, and that’s fine. Similarly, there’s no rule that “u” must follow “Q” but it’s true for most words.
Also, you’re forgetting “gib” (shortened from “giblet”) if you played Quake back in the day. Giant. Gigantic. Gibber. Gillian. So it’s

Which is what my point was. I was responding to a post that said soft-g goes against the rules of the language.

So kids are ok “political props” if they’re not murder victims? Is that the rule? I’d have thought Fox would be super pissed about this. :P

This is really what it comes down to. But people will pile on all sorts of reasons to avoid believing they did something wrong (see also trump supporters >_> ). Personally, I’d be ok with either pronunciation, but I get annoyed at the arrogance of saying the creator of the word is wrong.

Have some gin. Have a ginormous amount of gin. With Ginny the  giraffe.

ICE.

Where will SNL get its HPV now? :O

The original Chinese The Eye had some great sequences too. The elevator ghost....

somehow this one is too cute, but the other toy was “scary with its cold dead eyes”.... ?
