I guess. I love how her voice gives all of that vulnerability without even having to see her performance.

I had November tickets also then caved and paid resale to see the show a few months ago. We got the full OBC and honestly Lin (while great) is not the standout of the show at all. It will be worth it if you get to see anyone else. A friend saw Javier Munoz first and swears she preferred him.

Frances Ruffelle is my hands-down favorite, too. I’ve never understood why so many LesMis fans dislike her.

From the LMM interview in the current issue of Rolling Stone:

Yeah, at least they need someone who can really sing, so it shouldn’t become the next Roxie Hart-type role for B’way. The other names I’ve seen attached are great dancers, so there is hope. I mean, it’s still Cats, but there’s hope.

Grizabella is on stage for like less than 10 minutes and really doesn’t have to do much beyond sing Memory. If they’re going to get a “name” for any role, that would be the one.

And directed by Tim Burton. Nightmares for days.

There really wasn’t though. I remember thinking at the time that there was no way she’d get convicted and that it was a shame that they rushed to prosecute with what they had.

The Shining

Exhibit A: Non Stop

“diamond girl tu me haces sentiiiiir...”

And Expose’!!

But did you call him a “fucking asshole” in Latin? Because that should have been extra credit.

Seconded. The only thing I hate about RTR is that I end up getting so many compliments on my dress and then I’m sad I have to return it. It’s a lifesaver if you have a bunch of weddings/showers/baptisms.

My first reaction to cult articles is “but didn’t they take that class in high school...?” and it takes me a second to remember that I went to a Catholic school and so no, they likely didn’t.

Canvas used to be a really good source for dresses that were not expensive but were a step up from the Gap. Just clicked though and they have definitely upped the prices. For that amount I could get a much cuter dress at Madewell or Anthropologie. This probably won’t go well.

Russel Crowe as Javert is what pushed it over the line from “meh” to “wtf were they thinking”

Les Mis was my favorite since 12, too (sadly before that i was probably Cats bc it’s the only thing I had see on Bway and also I was 8 and also I could dance but not sing). My daughter is now 12 and doesn’t understand why I won’t let her see the movie but it’s just so WRONG and I can’t let that be her first experience

Same & same

We do agree then... sorry, I thought you were being snarky. Cheers!
