Totally. TWD’s shitty budget really hampered it - so, so many scenes in the woods. But it ended up being a metacommentary on the go-nowhere, shallow, repetition of its storylines. Without a meaningful story arc, sets, budget, the show instead had to rely on killing main characters as its sustenance.

Dont doubt it. I saw MM on that ‘95 tour, caught them at the Philly show. This was before the Sweet Dreams cover, before they blew up, and they were either opening for NIN or playing medium/small venues, like the TLA in south street Philly.

The premise of this show sounds seriously retrograde. If it were a trailer for an 80s movie, id be less surprised.

All Joe wants to play these days is the bombshell.

C’mon everyone, keep this thread going! It’s nowhere near longer than it ever needed to be.

This recap is a step-up from last week, especially the first third. But by the middle it gets too bogged down in a beat-by-beat retell. I think you’re at your best when you summarize instead of recount every step, and do so within the context of analysis, instead of offering up the analysis at the end of a sequence.

Yeah but info like this makes a re-watch fun for a new reason.

I had a great experience with induction. I was really surprised. Made a pitch perfect omelette. The heat control was astounding.

I am also 45. I also have and love my gas stove. But I can read this evidence and it does persuade me. (it did take a while though. Being bombarded by articles from my wife for two years onkly mad me more stubborn, but then I started to really look at it myself and frankly, everything in this article is backed up. YOU

I liked that article, but the how-to part of it felt a bit lacking. The how-to part for this article is much more useful.

You gave an answer earlier describing your interpretation of the politics of the movie - I dont know why but it appears to be gone.

I was thinking about your answer and why I didn’t read the film the same as you. I saw it more of a satire of Westchester NY suburban culture. Kind of a stepford wives take.

12 year old me was SO disappointed (and more than a little traumatized)

Wasnt Temple of Doom a prequel? That means they went into it knowing that Short Round’s absence in Raiders was a question left unanswered. Sadists.

Is it so hard to list platforms for these games?

Is AVClub being sponsored in some way by Avatar? All other news outlets reporting the box office as disappointing and below expectations, but not this site, instead saying it did well and pushing YET ANOTHER James Cameron/Avatar feature on its front page, in addition to the relentless random pieces over the last two

LOL the _Fabelmans_? Lost me there, bud.

Agreed, ave never understood this. It should be the FIRST piece of info on ANY ARTICLE related to the game. Just a quick nod in parens, like “Blah blah game (PS5, Xbox, PC), ...” IS IT SO HARD?

It’s called AVclub. What did you think the AV was for? Audio/Video?

Honestly, more often than not, they are kind of fucking boring.

I still don’t get the use of “we” and “us” in articles like these. Who the hell are all of you? Are you a hivemind? Do you ALL realize that phrases like “We are salivating to play” conjures an image of 20 dudes in an office simultaneously drooling all over the place? Is this a club you’re advertising me to be a part
