He raped that book, but with love!

Agreed 100%!

Bad DIRECTING!

Bad directing plays a bigger role than you may think

I disagree... people are weirder than you think they are. Who would have thought MineCraft would be the megalopolis hit is is now? That isn’t a game I would say resonates with dumb people..

I enjoy playing Fallout 3 more now that I’m replaying it, but one of NV’s DLC add-ons was one of the most moving story lines I’ve ever experienced. But fallout 3’s nonverbal storytelling... Where you just have scenes with histories only discernible from visual clues... That's top notch

I agree with you but I also think Cosmo is seriously the worst stupidest thing on the planet so I'm totally torn.

sure his opinions are fact based and responsible for all people.’

I'm not some kinda asshole, but I've been to Kenya. And Kenya is fucking problematic.

Is it that there’s no joy in my cold, black heart, or is this The Worst?

Man do I agree with you that Howls sucks big time. But Spirited Away... That’s in my top 3. Porco Rosso was recommended personally by Bill Plympton himself!

Weird.

I can see that point. However, I’m also leery of someone accustomed to - or even tolerant of - factory iOS apps such as Music, Mail, Photos, Maps, and Voice Memos, just to name of few, each of which have features and functionality that drives me absolutely insane with frustration. I’d read more from this author,

Actually, as an iOS user since ‘09, I am starting to reflect the author’s attitude. My love for the hardware continues, my frustrations with their approach to UX grows every year.

Yeah of all the NMA examples this author could have picked one, he had to cite an irrelevant argument about realism? In a post-apocalyptic fantasy game? I’m sure there were far more reasonable counter arguments to FO3. Like this shitty voice acting.

It’s more that new UX conventions are now dominant that aren’t just improvements over the conventions in FO1-2, it’s that they directly conflict with the older conventions, resulting in no end to headscratching mistakes and frustration. I grinded for 10 hours in FO1 and gave up - it was just too much to

Last I checked, a macbook pro was a modern computer ;)

This, x100000

Even as a 37 yo with corresponding expectations it has been very difficult for me to get into FO1 or 2. I can already tell the writing is better, but the pace of the game is glacial, the interface/mouse non-intuitive, the Mac port I’m forced to use is a bit buggy (and that makes me less inclined to invest hours into a
