Did you hear that whooshing noise overhead just now? It was the joke.

This is what happens when high level CEO's don't like the prospect of declining profits and want their slice of the pie right now. They could give a shit about destroying a business like HP if it means a hundred million more in their personal pockets.

I'm sure you only paid a few hundred for it, so replacing it in 2-3 years shouldn't be a big deal.

In a way it does, but their profit margins are so razor thin that they have to sell enormous amounts of computers just to turn a profit. For example, they sold millions upon millions more systems than Apple, but they didn't even make half the profit. The crappy part is that it's only going to get worse as PC

haha touché. In all seriousness, I already have an iPad, and an iPad 2, but I seriously considered the $99 TouchPad. If anything, it's a cheap way to watch movies and check email when traveling, especially in some of the "sketchier" countries, without worrying about the device getting ruined, and or stolen.

Very doubtful. Could they have tried any harder to let everyone know that WebOS is a gigantic, steaming, pile of shit? What company would be fu***** crazy enough to license it now?

Did you misplace your lighter or something? Because watching $99 burn would have been a better investment.

Get a Mac and you can click on all the sketchy links you want.

Why does it matter if you're on a Mac? Is it because you're more likely to get struck by lightning then get a virus or piece of malware installed while surfing the net on a Mac?

$100 is still a waste of money. An hour in a strip club with 100 singles would be a much better use of the cash.

Just about every story I read seemed like something that could have been avoided if a more "aware" customer was in control of the situation. Is it "right" that it's like that? Of course not. You should be able to simply say what you want, and have that service delivered. But that's not the real-world, that's not the

I read somewhere that humans prefer round objects because of some subconscious, in-born infatuation with our mother's breasts. Kind of weird :\

Don't you find it a little weird just how badly Palm/Hp failed with WebOS? It was at least as good as Android, and Palm had 100x more brand recognition as Google for being a quality manufacturer of mobile devices.

I haven't found that to be a problem, in fact I've always found the "On" and "Off" designations to be pretty clear, but I totally understand your point and see why some might find that confusing. What do you propose as a solution?

Just to remind everyone that sometimes it's the crazy old guy that runs into the totally innocent young kid.

Here, fixed your problem:

Must have been a dog. Just can't imagine some dude intentionally pissing on some random bag. Can't explain the missing aftershave though, that's weird, and Delta's handling of the situation is pretty terrible from his side of things.

I spend most of my time on Gizmodo, only occasionally venturing over to Jalopnik, but after reading through this post's comments I've come to the conclusion that most of you guys have the sense of humor of a 60 year old ex high school science teacher.
