I was sure I had missed something.

One of the factors that influenced our decision to choose fertility treatments over adoption was cost. My health plan covered a percentage of treatment. And also, it is not at all the same.

I was already a mom when I had an abortion. I told multiple people the problem wasn't the potential baby, but the actual pregnancy. 

My dad's ex listed him as the father when she placed her baby for adoption in the late 60s. The baby was the result of an affair. My dad says he keeps expecting to be contacted.

Half kidding I say my parenting philosophy is “if I do this will you stop crying?” I am an absolute monster without sleep, so I did whatever I needed to do to get the most sleep. One of my twins was fine with being put in his crib where he might lightly fuss himself to sleep for about 5 minutes. The other would cry…

But how are your ratings? If he can’t relate something to ratings it doesn’t exist.

I like to point out to those older people that if they went to college “back in the day” it was realistic to pay for college with summer jobs and part time work during the school year. Now not so much.

I tried to have kids in my 20s, but it took until I was in my 30s for the fertility treatments to work.

My twins were born at 25 weeks 3 years ago. We had a longer than normal NICU stay for a variety of reasons, but we all made it. Sending good thoughts to your little girl.

If you truly give birth at 21 weeks that baby is not going to survive. I gave birth at 25 weeks and we could have chosen not to do medical intervention at that point. And we had a list of scenarios that would have moved us from medical intervention to comfort care, because the prevailing thought (at least 3 years ago)…

Our HR dept didn’t address it until this afternoon. And it seemed to be news to a lot of people.

So we know vaccines don’t cause autism, but we also know that lead does cause major problems. Maybe instead of making up a bogeyman, these people with money and influence could work to help children actually being harmed by their environment.

“My friend is married to a lawyer and he proposed on a random Friday or whatever so that should something go wrong he could reclaim the ring because it was specifically given with express understanding of a marriage proposal.” Romance is not dead.
