There was a successful flying car test voyage this week, but I saw nothing on here. Maybe I missed it.

Near my son’s house there is a new Ford Ranger with a “LOLTACO” license plate. I admit I laughed.
Yeah, *right*, the 69 is from the moon landing. SUUURE. That pairs perfectly with a gaming term. Makes total sense. DAFUQ?
I have some trouble believing that’s not just a ‘shopped plate.
I mean, everyone remembers when upon first stepping foot on the moon Neil Armstrong famously said to the world, but especially Russia, “[It’s] ‘69 [and the US totally] PWND YOU!”
Yeah! We need more videos trashing Tesla! Can’t short those stocks if you aren’t putting the time in!
Make it your new normal and you might get a job... but not with that attitude.
Ten years is about the amount of time I would expect for a DMV employee to write up and issue a notice. Sounds legit.
About as well as gun control.
Nah. I’ve always thought it a bad design, then this happens. I knew it. I was right. I shall select this data set of evidence to support my theory. I reject your reality and substitute my own.
I’ve learned how to play drums and when I started lessons the teacher asked “what kind of drummers do you enjoy listening to?” my answer was “Dave Grohl” because when he’s interviewed he has no snobbery about what is and isn’t “real music”.
Agree; this was a bit of a misfire. Dave Grohl (like today’s birthday Queen, Ms. Elliott) is a national treasure. He lives, breathes and oozes music. And his appreciation for all aspects of it is apparent. Rock, jazz, R&B, soul, rap, country, pop...ska. He’s an encyclopedia of all of it. He loves and spreads the…
Dave Grohl is from the DMV and pays homage and due respect to all Black artistry including GO-GO. I disagree with your header as he has always been about the music of our folks with humility and reverence. Always. Idk where the privilege was presented especially since he publicly and privately gave Tony Thompson his fl…
Not sure I’d call anyone who works here these days a “writer”.
The court decision is that it’s legal to reject candidates for being too intelligent, not that it’s a requirement that they be rejected for being too intelligent.
They set up a 300 foot perimeter. JCAT guidelines dictate that for 5 lbs of explosives, enforcing a 70' evac distance, and shelter in place between 70'-1100'. The distance doesn’t scale linearly, with 20 lbs being 110', and SiP out to 1700'.
You think this guy in the middle of LA was running a fireworks factory starting with raw materials input? He was just warehousing and distributing this shit, man.
They truck professionally made fireworks, under very strict conditions, *very carefully* all over the road. Same with every other dangerous substance, though I’m curious what you would define as “more volatile” than unstable high explosives of unknown composition, quality, and yield.
Was that in one of the linked articles? It would have been nice for the Jalopnik writer to include that bit.
You can design safe procedures and containment when you know what it is being transported and what state it’s in. It sounds like they didn’t know what the improvised explosives were made of, what was mixed in etc, in which case detonating on-site where they could clear the area instead of transporting them on roads…
