Just finished Danganronpa 1 and it was absolutely phenomenal but it occupies a similar place as Persona so I'm not sure how much of a break it will provide. Have you played a Danganronpa before?

I haven't played 5 yet, but if it continues the same basic gameplay as 3-4 it's like final fantasy 10s battle system combined with a bunch of occult imagery, and then a high school life/dating sim bolted on that adds some humanity to the characters and boosts their stats.
