DNC (as referenced above) refers to the overall Party. Gracious, don’t get stuck in the weeds. There are a plethora of groups/organizations you’d have to list to name every national, statewide, local Party group involved in any US Congressional campaign.

The DFL is just the state front for the national Democratic Party

Test run for what?

Dude, don’t listen to this clown. I was actually a political fundraiser (and have even talked to The Root writers about doing an article on a minority-focused gun group that I helped start — no story yet).

Even she sees this as her own accomplishment rather than a continuation of his achievement, — “I think it will be very good publicity for women’s boxing and for me personally.”

Standing Rock lacked any widespread adoption like these other movements. That allowed what you referred to earlier to happen — shitty local conservative leaders. It was never a national movement even though it did get some national coverage. Not in the way BLM or OWS saw crowds in every major city and many smaller

Thank you. Well said.

Wow. You are incredibly wrong. I can’t believe that I spent multiple comments trying to get to the bottom of that idiocracy.

What is your background in electoral politics? You say its not true, but don’t elaborate. Please do, then.

The Democratic National Committee? The organizational structure for the Democratic Party?

That’s definitely one of the major reasons why they fail. Any organization also faces risks with leadership, finances, etc.

Politics in the country is undergoing a shift toward the extremes. There are plenty of young Conservatives popping up too and no guarantee yet that any of the recent liberal mass movements will have a lasting impact.

Omar’s victory wasn’t really impressive because of the money angle (she actually out-raised her opponent, but it was closer than it should have been given her incumbency), but rather that she succeeded despite having a lot of the traditional Democratic establishment (both DNC and traditional PAC allies) work against

I don’t really have a dog in this fight (other than wanting the Dem team whoever it is to beat Trump), but just providing insight since this was my job field for over a decade and most of the political analysis on this website (and especially in the comments) is devoid of true understanding.

Lol. No it doesn’t (although I wish you were correct).

Sure, he could have done that BEFORE SC primary and his promise to elect a black woman. But that’s what Clyburn demanded for his endorsement. And once it was public there would be a huge backlash (especially given the current climate/BLM movement).

He missed his own self-imposed deadline multiple times. He waited long enough that hundreds of black executives were sending him a letter telling him to get it done.

I agree with you about letting Trump beat himself.

Not sure. I think it’s because of Harris’s sketchy start in politics and the attack ads about that and her role as prosecutor/AG and locking black people up. The Biden campaign obviously had reservations about Harris after vetting her. But every other option was and always has been worse. So get it out of the way and

Logged back in to say good times. Of course, this team was obvious a year and half ago as I (and others) have consistently stated here. So bizarre to see so much time wasted and words written over what was a given.

She was an equal participant, but on a bill that was only meant to generate headlines. They knew it had no chance of passing. No different than stupid protests bills the GOP did during Obama’s term.
